This is really cool, I always thought Bungie should've stuck in another Sabre section like this just so it could be used more. I also just like the way this mission is structured, it's like one of those COD missions where you start off playing as one character who's actually covering the protagonist until you switch back to the ground, and the turret section at the end was similar to the Washington DC mission in OG MW2.
Agreed, I think it would’ve also been cool if you had to escort the pelican likes Buck’s Falcon and when you switch perspectives it’s to one of the marines.
I think the aircraft you're talking about from Halo 4 didnt even exist until that game though, Bungie designed the Sabres, Shortsword and Longsword but the Broadsword you're talking about was retconned into existence by 343 in their lore.
@pvt.jonwallace F-41 EMSF =broadsword was the halo 4 ending jet. Pretty sure your in the YSS 1000=Sabre. We still never get real dogfights like this. But I still love space dogfights and in the city could have been such a great forge gametype
Shortswords are the little bombers that fly across the screen in Halo Wars when you use certain leader abilities. While they are cute, the thing in the video is a Sabre, which is an experimental space fighter. Longswords are the multi-role fighter bomber escort hangar vehicle Doritos in CE and 3, as well as one scene in Reach. The thing at the end of 4 is a Broadsword, which was a normal (but probably the best the UNSC had) space fighter like the Nandao and Baselard up until after the war, where some were refit with shields inspired by the Sabre.
@ryan_1099 thank you, I just wish we had more dogfights in a space sci-fi, don't get me wrong, I love hijacking banshees. I'm a jet fan, even destiny doesn't have flight battles after 50 different aircrafts
@@pvt.jonwallace Longswords were the delta winged heavy fighters seen in the original Halo Trilogy and Broadsword’s were the bombers in Halo Wars. The only 343 addition was the short sword
@@pvt.jonwallace Arcadia City really should have had more reactors that could be garrisoned. Half of the problems with that level was having to build a 1200-resource reactor for a timed mission >.< Arcadia Outskirts, on the other hand, was my favorite mission. Lots of cover, and a well-placed machine gun Spartan would shred Covenant infantry like wet tissue paper. :D
Bungie was on their way out with Halo Reach sadly, its well known they just wanted to cut off Halo and Microsoft to make Destiny And we all know how well that turned out..
Would honestly be so cool to fly a Sabre on this level. Imagine if they redid the phantom Easter egg but with a seraph
A Sabré on New Alexandra is something I never would’ve thought was possible.
me neither dude, but this mod's author doesnt give AF about game limitations!!
Pvt.JonWallace, awesome content my guy
Thank you brother, There's more content on the way....
I'm just waiting for a bigger hard drive for all the new mods and games to arrive....

woah that gives me a whole different perspective on the Falcon turret section, can't believe I didnt catch that reference

Imagine if the player on the ground can call in close air support using a sabre, kinda like an A10
_bbbbrrrrrrrrrrr noises intensify_
The short swords deserve so much love, but dam it only being used for a halo 4 race ending

Arcadia City on Halo Wars be like:
This shit was tame compared to Arcadia city....I still have PTSD from those damn Wraiths

playing it on legendary
I love the detail of the Halberd-class destroyer engaging enemies in the distance
Where?
Covenant builded a AA gun in new alexandria just as i predict.
I think you need to remove the muffled “Space” sound effects and replace them with something less muffled.
Im still camping 😂 love this mod by the way keep up the work❤

@@pvt.jonwallace Are you one of the mod developers, or just have early access? ;)
everyone can download this mod on the steam workshop, im actually surprised I haven't seen more Halo channels cover this mod given how well made it is
Seeing Captain Kyes's Iroquoise-class destroyer in action makes me tear up.
12:50 slip space error caused the covenant vessel to enter in a poorly rendered state.
Bungi could have all left this behind in another section of the game. They made such a legacy in the gaming industry.
