@@leolauchere2408 When you turned it off for just a short time, then restarted it, the engine should have come up to speed quickly. Instead it ran slowly surging around because it lost it's fuel pressure (through a possible leak) and had to rebuild up pressure in the fuel lines before it ran correctly. You should go through and make sure all fuel fittings are tight so you don't loose your fuel prime (priming is getting fuel in the lines and eliminating all air pockets-very difficult on any Detroit). I can have my bus (with 8V-71) sit for weeks and it will start up without a hitch easily.
And don't run it on kerosene-it doesn't have enough oil in it to properly lubricate the injectors. Number one Diesel is much like kerosene but with oil added to it. I highly recommend you not run on Biodiesel-unless you are loading up the engine, the Biodiesel will muck up the injectors and you'll have to pull them frequently to clean them.
Those things are noisy! OMG! They don’t call them Screamers for nothing!
Have you ran this for 24hrs straight? Accurate fuel economy with a constant 50% load?
50/50 waste oil diesel mix
Looses fuel prime to easily. And sounds like it is running too fast.
What do you mean by looses fuel prime? 🙏
