"Lizzie James" was awarded £125,000 compensation for stress and Rachel's son was offered £22,000 for the loss of his mother? How can that be right!

I am flabbergasted that she cashed in on Rachel's death ,when she tried her utmost to get a man to admit to a crime he never committed ,he was clearly writing that letters cause that's what he thought she wanted to hear ,he was very naive ,cause if a woman told me she had murdered for an occult my first thought would've been go to the police ,or to get her to hell ,as women like that often scream rape when they're willingly going to bed with a man ,but being naive is not a crime ,desperate coppers ,this is similar to the Barry George case with Jill dando ,who I believe was murdered by the BBC

@@thespursfan7564 She was awarded money for the mental anguish the undercover operation caused her not because of Rachel's murder. Not directly. All the letters and dialogue were given to her by the profiler. She was just taking orders and it messed her up.

Samantha Bisset and her daughter Jazmine are the forgotten ones in this murder case
Robert Napper eviscerated Samantha and dragged her entrails all around her flat , he also raped and smothered her four-year-old daughter . If they had not concentrated on Colin Stagg, then Samantha and Jazmine would still probably be alive. Napper was sentenced to be incarcerated indefinitely at Broadmoor Hospital.

It's because back in those days promiscuity or women advertising themselves as escorts were frowned upon and therefore their lives not put in the same category as others. Sadly, the MSM are so disgusting. They did the same with the Yorkshire rippers victims, wasn't until it was a non prostitute they took the killings more serious.

  • @ruthbashford3176

I could never understand why the murder of Samantha Bisset and her 4 year old daughter, Jasmine, did not cause as much outrage and media interest as the Rachel Nickell murder. Samantha's murder was reminiscent of what Jack the Ripper did to his victims and Jasmine was sexually assaulted and suffocated.

    • @Sati1979

You know, I've been thinking about that as well. I watched Deceit yesterday and so of course, articles about the miscarriage of justice regarding Colin Stagg and Rachel's murder have resurfaced again. It's so upsetting to see that there wasn't so much focus on Samantha and Jazmine's murder (not that it should be viewed as some sort of competition). I've been comparing the photos of Rachel and her son and partner and Samantha, her partner and Jazmine and there's a small part of me that wonder whether it was because Rachel had perhaps what the media would consider a more appropriate background as the victim than Samantha did? It's absolutely tragic.

@Ruth Bashford it's because she was regarded underclass compared to Rachel nickel. Plus she had a child out of wedlock. And promiscuous .a hippy lifestyle, This is often frowned upon by the mainstream media. Especially in 1990s . It's actually quite sickening the way she was ignored , I recently laid down some flowers at her old flat where they were murdered. And was shocked to find the flat is vacant by a new tenant. I asked her if she heard what happened there . She wasn't told by her agents? Wrong on all accounts , there isn't even respect or dignity of a four year old girl and her mother over a profit of a flat . Another thing that shocked me , nobody I asked in that area even heard or knew about Samantha's murder . She has been forgotten. Yet I can feel her spirit and presence there still .

A few things strike me as odd and interesting about the actual murder:
    1. I don't think there were two guys dressed and looking pretty much identical (except one wearing a belt over shirt) both carrying the same small black bags. It's most likely the same person.
    2. Why would a killer wear a white shirt if he's planning to murder and stab someone. It would be make the appearance of blood very visible and risk of getting seen and caught much greater. However he may have worn a t-shirt underneath it and hence the bag to change out of shirt and hide the shirt in. You don't need a bag to carry a knife. It's likely that was an attempt to change his appearance, hide any blood splatter and remove evidence/knife from the crime scene by blending into the crowd.
    3. This person travelled on foot presumably and someone carrying a bag like that (which he's unlikely to dispose of anywhere it can be found easily) with a murder weapon and foresnic evidence has to get away from the scene and dispose of that somewhere. So I'd have followed that line of investigation checking for CCTV and witnesses, around a 3 mile radius and on all public transport out of the area and taxi's etc.

This case truly astonished me on so many levels.
I can see what the lead detective was trying to do, acting from a position of utter desparation with no foresnics or leads. Just a photofit from eyewitness and a local man fitting that description a mile away. Who was present on the day of the murder close to the time of the murder seen up close and identified.
And who also fit the psychologists profile and ticked many of the boxes...on the surface. That's the danger with relying on psychological profiling of offenders..many people like the young guy can exhibit unusual interests and atypical social behaviours, be a loner or socially awkward but it's a big leap to say yeah because of that and him being in the park that day (along with dozens of others) he must be a rapist and murderer.
That requires a whole different level of (psychopathy) behaviour for someone to stab a woman with her child in broad daylight over 40 times and luckily these people are rare in society and nearly always there's signs from an early age and previous offending before a crime like that is attempted.
This approach used by police used to be a common mistake police fell into by trying to make the case and evidence fit the suspect or suspects, rather than pursuing the suspect leads and seeing where that leads to crime evidence.
Under the Police Criminal Evidence Act this approach sailed dangerously close to the line of the law (and arguably completely over it) in using a honey pot tactic and trying to manipulate the suspect into a confession in writing or conversations framed around a woman having these very violent sex fantasies with the offer of sex/relationship with an attractive womann on offer to a single awkward guy. That would be very difficult to use as evidence and could result in the suspect being acquitted even if he had done it as it's inviting a defense of confession induced by manipulation.
I'm surprised the guy actually didn't realise it was a honey trap on receiving the first letter after being arrested for exposing himself being naked in the park. And then the police officer undercover was so obvious.
If they were going to take such a risky tactic, a more subtle and indirect approach would be to use a younger person closer to his age. Someone very convincing as a random female in a pub or somewhere a bit shy and ackward acting like him, sitting alone and striking up a chat. Far better approach than writing a letter. In that situation he might reveal violent sexual tendencies or odd behaviour cues and feelings towards women a psychologist would readily recognise. And you'd have got it a better psychology profile directly out of him without any real prompting at all. You'd be looking for signs it's already there, not trying to put to there.
Record and/or film the interactions and let a psychologist criminal behaviourial specialist make his analysis. Keep these social meetings (in a safe place like a pub) going over several meetings until he relaxes his guard more. Wait until he either makes a move to rape the undercover officer or reveals something more about the crime or violent tendencies without any prompting but by subtle indications from the undercover person she is turned on by that.
If the operation doesn't result in him making a rape move given an opportunity after the pub in an isolated place (with lots of police around) or he doesn't fit the profile and show any signs he's a violent offender, end the meetings abruptly with some rejection and keep him under observation to see if it triggers and he snaps. If nothing unusual after a few weeks close observation to a month just eliminate him as a suspect.
Without DNA or anything in his flat linking him to the crime or any similar crimes, after the first arrest, you have nothing to support a conviction. The honey pot tactic will only indicate if police are onto the right suspect or if very lucky result him making an assault attempt or some kind of confession or indication he has violent tendencies and abnormal behaviours around women.

I love the compilation throughout time and productions. FYI, America does not allow lie detector test in court.

Wish people would just admit it when something is wrong with someone in their family. Denying it doesn't make it go away.

I use to like the "cook report" and thought it was a very high standard of program but I've got to say that was awful
It was completely to the polices narrative and it was obvious whatever he said he would be made out to be the murderer

The comment that no one should not feel safe walking in the park, but I have watched about 100 of these story of women attacked in the park. Obviously it’s a problem, it’s a epidemic

Wow they did did a great job of ruining an innocent man's life, and so happy and pleased with themselves to do it. Despite all of signs, and there were many that he was 100% innocent. Not that I'll ever be able to prove himself in the court of asshole public opinion. I'm glad that cop ruined his own career, he should not to be a police officer if he's that bad at his job.
