Cannan had the absolutely classic childhood experiences of an offender like that. A violent, abusive father and a mother who smothered and "enmeshed" him. He was also sexually abused at school by a teacher. His family seem to have been terrible snobs who were more concerned with appearances. Cannan ended up with a toxic mix of rage, self entitlement and narcissism.

The police have found evidence that Suzy Lamplugh had been in the car owned by Cannnan at the time of her disappearance, and have stated publicly that they believe he is responsible.
Cannan has said that he knows who abducted and murdered Suzie, and that it's the same person who murdered Shirley. I expect he knows better than anyone that that's the truth.

Definitely, if someone doesn't come home from work by say a usual 6.00 pm, allowing time for late night shopping by 8.30 pm - all her family and then work colleagues should have been telephoned and questions asked? After that at midnight the police - her husband possibly also scoured her possible routes from work but did he raise the alarm in time? She was kept alive for 18 hours - I would presume she was dead by the time the alarm was raised? If the earlier aborted incident had been tied in with this missing woman and the police had a list of known offenders in the area maybe she could have been saved - what was all that about a woman calling for a taxi too???

I simply find the Dating Agency boss' appraisal of Cannan unbelievable. I know it is easy with hindsight but ..really....he comes across as so smarmy and fake when being interviewd by her, it beggars belief she can state that she quite liked him and found him pleasant and amusing.
