    As a newly lincesed CA esthetician, its so refreshing to hear from an industry pro that she doesnt use botox or fillers herself and believes in aging naturally. I too also believe there is something so beautiful in seeing people age naturally without trying to change their appearance. Botox is not the fountain of youth. I sometimes dont feel like i fit into the industry because there is so much influence to change your appearance to promote botox or fillers.
    Kristin i love that you also believe in good skincare and selfcare to keep yourself looking gorgeous. Dont ever get botox, you look gorgeous the way you are.

    Vitamin D from the sun. In the UK it’s recommended to take a Vitamin D supplement throughout the winter (that’s 8 months of the year) as we just don’t get enough sun. I actually take one all year round as it’s good for the immune system.

    My only bone to pick with skincare experts in the US is that they’re always preaching that sunscreen is so important and beneficial. The amount of toxic chemicals our country puts into everything including sunscreen is disturbing, glad she admits this while trying to school Kristin 🙄 but until we have clean ingredients in every single sunscreen let’s not push it. My grandma is an extremely smart woman (mensa member) and she has told me to NEVER use sunscreen because people didn’t start getting skin cancer until they introduced sunscreen and pushing it hard in the 60s and 70s. I might have more freckles and have to wear a hat more often but the sun is so good for our bodies and being told to lather ourselves in sunscreen and avoiding the sun is craziness made up by those who want us ill and push their chemicals on us to “fix” the problem aka big pharma! I’m glad Kristen spoke about not wearing sunscreen and saying that it’s her personal choice for her own reasons and she’s not telling anyone else not to do it and that’s the beauty of people like her but yet there are still those who want to attack her because they make a profit off of you wearing sunscreen and so on and so forth with other companies that are attached to these people and it just goes in a big circle of those who profit off of this bullshit that has just started becoming popular like I said back in the 60s and the 70s. The people who I personally know that ended up with skin cancer are the most sunscreen obsessed and live in northern states where they get the least sun. It’s not a coincidence my friends.

      Average life expectancy in the 60’s was only about 67 years old and medicine was not nearly as advanced as it is now. So naturally with people living about 20 years longer and medical advancements we’re seeing more skin cancer diagnoses.

      I think you're half right. As someone who is fair skinned, I can say that sunblock is absolutely necessary at times. If I don't use it and I'm out in the sun awhile I will get a bad burn. I think the effect is the same on darker skin as well, you're just not seeing the damage as readily. That being said, I do think we put too much chemical crap in and on our bodies. I'm in my 40s and my skin looks pretty great. Aside from good skincare, my rule with sunblock has always been that if I'm going to be out in the sun for awhile, like going to the beach, going for a long walk, etc than I put on sunblock. But, I think it's overkill to wear it daily if you work inside and your time outdoors is basically walking to and from your car before and after work. I think putting sunblock on your skin every day doesn't allow your skin to breathe and we shouldn't be putting a layer of chemicals on 365 days per year. That being said, I do live in the North and if I lived somewhere with more sun exposure, I'd probably have to use sunblock more. Since I am fair skinned, I have used sunblock when necessary since I was a child. I will say, now that I'm in my 40s, that the sun damage is becoming quite obvious in my friends who never really cared to use sunblock. I think it's made a difference. All in moderation as they say...

      she's not trying to "school" Kristin, she is educating her. As an esthetician, she (most likely) has more knowledge on all things skin than a former reality star turned entrepreneur turned podcaster.

    Botox: great for stress headaches!! I won a free treatment. As she was giving me the shots (above the nose) she talked about her sister who discovered it helped with her stress headaches. Wow, it got rid of mine. I kept getting shots every 5 months after that for years. Not going to lie, it was great for fewer wrinkles as well! Things calmed down at work, a few of the gals that loved to cause drama at work quit, so I wasn't as stressed. I stopped the shots, and my headaches never came back.

      I find it interesting that Kristin's own line, Uncommon Beauty, was not mentioned and that she uses castor oil to help with fine lines and wrinkles under her eyes when I use her under eye cream to combat the same issue. Truthfully it's the best eye cream I have ever used.

    I am not a fan of micro current. The face muscles are NOT THE SAME as your body muscles. They are attached differently. And to achieve a youthful look we need to relax the muscles in the face... not tighten. Example, people with double chins can help lessen the line that creates the double chin by relaxing the neck muscles. Not tighten. Also, she's saying micro current was used on people with paralysis!!! And yet we're using it on people without paralysis. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm shocked at how many estheticians do not understand the anatomy of the face and muscles. And Korean and European sunscreens are the best.

      @laneaspen7535 4 месяца назад

      That’s just aging but you can use under eye cream and honestly don’t do drugs. Drugs will make those bags even worse more rapidly. Idk how old you are but if you’re young, best advice I can give is id say stay away from drugs and alcohol. I mean alcohol is one of those things ppl don’t talk about enough but it absolutely affects your eye bags.
