I agree, but those rods are way more expensive so I got this one for a throw around rod/boat one so I don't have to baby my Edge Black Widow which is quite robust but some of my other rods have AGS guides which I've broken before unfortunately! I need to get me hands on a Zenaq or Palms or similar one day! Maybe one day 😎
@@ShroomFishing I’ve got two Zenaqs . They’re great but I’ve handled a few of the new Battlers and they’re incredible too. The Black Widow’s are tough rods and those recoil guides never fail plus I love the sound of braid going through them.
@@ShroomFishing I have the scratchy 702LFS 2-4kg and I’m using 6lb line. I’m finding it’s too much rod for the 6lb line, can easily fish 8-10lb with it with confidence. I’m looking to buy another TD black in a 1-3kg but thinking the 722ULFS or even the 782ULFS to get the extra cast. The rods are brilliant but I’m thinking the extra length will give me the extra finesse and cast distance. 👌 happy new year bud. Hope to see you out there soon 👌
@@peterm6199 I bought a scratchy 702lfs and felt the exact same the roof felt a bit too beefy for 6lb. Feels more like a 2-5kg rod easily. Sold the scratchy and picked up a itchy twitchy 610lfs and have found it to be perfectly suited. At first was worried about the 6'10 length losing cast distance but honestly works so much better casting light line than the scratchy because of its whippyness.

Anything like the new zeros they won't come close to the older models 🤣. Daiwa seem to be focusing mostly on their infeet range at the moment. 🎣😎🎣
Yep I think you're right Stephen. The prices were the lowest they have been during the black Friday sales so it was a sign. Also a sign to pick a rod or two up at a good price haha. I ended up getting a infeet but still have my eye on that atomic I mentioned, the soft one 😎😂

@@stephencyster I love the arrowz as a rod, have caught everything on it, big Jew, huge bass, massive carp,huge trout, flatties, Bream etc Never had a drama with it apart from the first day the extra flex took a bit to get used to setting hook Just wondering what it is about the arrowz you don't like? I fish 4lb and 5lb leader on a 2500 TD black paired with my arrowz I'm about to get the lighter one to put a Diawa presso reel on just for trout
@Stephen Cyster All good Stephen, I actually wanted a specific model, I can't remember which one it was but it was for a niche role - fishing prawn baits on jigheads, that was the reason why I was looking into it 😂 You hold onto it, you'll probably find an obscure use for it like I did lol
Use Google maps on satellite mode , look at the bridge he is fishing next to - notice anything about it that may tell you what the bridge is used for ? Look on the map for a bridge that is used for the same thing but has a walkway bridge next to it . Shroom tells you what waterway it is on or near so you should be able to locate the bridge - it took me all of two minutes to do !
