Never been to Siem Reap, got interested upon seeing your video, learned a lot with this adventure thanks for sharing Barefoot. Planning to go Cambodia to see Angkor Wat, By the way, I love the Cambodia series vlogs, one of the best. Stay safe! And have a great adventure ahead.
Good job! Many more temple needs to be open to the public soon... Based on the lidar scan technology recently done, the place is like 2 or 3 times bigger... Cheers from Phnom Penh
Merry Christmas and happy new year buddy. Loving your adventures in SE Asia. You really went for it this year. Keep up the good work and I enjoyed this video. I know you're from New York and you guys always think you're tough but when the locals tells you it's a viper and if it bites you in three steps you're dead you might not want to get so close to it next time😂
Merry Christmas I’m sure the hat was too much lol but it’s only 5 bucks. To be honest I don’t mind paying a little more the locals,it’s nothing for us but does make a big difference to the locals.
There were no handrails way back in 2000 to climb up to to main temple at your own risk. There were some Japanese tourists slipped and fall to their death. So now they have added some handrails for the tourists for their safety. I had a chance to visit this historical place way back in the 60s with my family. It feels just like yesterday. Only memories live on. Have a wonderful trips there!
❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍 38:38 this the closest I've seen Anchor Wat Then any documentary history of Anchor Wat Good video and also a real good tourist guide he's excellent 41:17 he deserves $50 for telling the history of the ancient history of Anchor Wat
Cambodia khmer ancient temples are truly splendidly and wondrously human creations heavenly on earth for God to protect humanity here as beautifully as heavenly....many more Cambodia khmer ancient temples in Thailand or Siam Laos Vietnam too where Cambodia khmer empire was there all the way to Burma border what is now Mymnama
15:27 that tower wasn’t collapse by itself it was destroyed and looted diamond or gold by neighbouring country every tower in Cambodia temple has big gold or diamond inside they using elephant 🐘 put big rope and pull it down
Khmer people moved out of Angkor Wat after the convention from Hinduism to Buddhism. And they now prayed to their own Temple like in Thailand Laos because they used to be ruled by one ruler during the Khmer Empire which is by the Khmer King
@ The population of today are smaller then the ancient times.Study shown that at one time the population used to be the size of Los Angeles,California today which is 3.7 million people . As you can see at the current time there are less people.Of course not all of the people moved out of there.
Always entertaining. Did you show a second Apsara engraving smiling with teeth @ 25:01 ? I ask because I'd like to know where that second location was. I'll be there in 6 days filming for 4 months. Was that the East entrance to the first story wall? Cheers.
Thanks Dave, as you're coming to the main temple go to the stairs furthest to the right and you'll see it on the left of the top of the stairs. It was smiling but I don't believe there were teeth as Ken mentioned. Safe travels brother
That's right Mamaraider. Her son Maddox was adopted from a Cambodian orphanage, so she bought a traditional longhouse to help him stay connected to his Cambodian roots.

Yes and just to add they mad that they couldn’t have Angkor wat so they try to destroy it
Wow, thanks for letting us know
Just to clarify ANGKOR WAT was never abandoned there always people live inside just not well taken care of
You're right. The population declined for many reasons, but it was never abandoned, so I stand corrected there, thanks
I love your videos ❤
I'm so glad Carlos, thanks brother🙏
Hi Terry I think hundred years old ❤❤❤
Khmer people moved out of Angkor Wat after the convention from Hinduism to Buddhism. And they now prayed to their own Temple like in Thailand Laos because they used to be ruled by one ruler during the Khmer Empire which is by the Khmer King
Nobody moved out of Angkor wat after that. People still live there till nowadays.
