- Me and Jason Ulloa dyed my hair! This is such a huge change for me. I know that box dye is not the greatest thing to put on your hair, but hey I'm spontaneous and I wanted a change! My goal is to stop piling bleach on my hair at home, (which is my toxic trait,) and eventually grow out my natural hair color. Goodbye blonde with brown roots! I hope you all enjoy this video!
All color products used were Revlon!
Step 1. Light Golden Brown (to add some golden pigments back into my hair as a "filler") but technically I was supposed to use red.
Step 2. Medium Brown
Colors used on Hair extensions: Dark Brown & Black Brown

Blonde is just so hard and expensive to maintain
That and it causes so much damage I’m about to go darker as well bc it’s just to much to try and maintain and my hair needs a break.
Honestly tho. My hair lightens really Well and doesn’t damage too bad but the tone fades yellow so quick I’m fed up

You can always gradually move into it like get a bunch of low lights and just have her tone the hair that’s already bleached.
Same I have white blonde hair I'm German so partly it's naturally but still ya it's so expensive to maintain and special shampoos and conditioners

Looks beautiful. I'm a cosmetologist and ya ppl use box dye. Just ignore what people are saying when they are talking negative about the face that your using a box color and just focus on how healthy and natural you can keep your hair without dyeing your whole head next time and dont use heat.

I'm in a state of SHOCK 😲.. you looked like an older woman with the bleeched blond hair.. but you so YOUNG like 19yrs 21yrs with the DARK HAIR 😮 WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!!! WOW biggest transformation I've seen in a blond to dark video. NEVER GO BLOND AGAIN.

I did the same , but the ashy parts got lighter with each wash. So I colored it darker again and it covered them better. Good luck
I was shocked how beautiful it looked ashy brown which is what I'm I'm the process of trying to figure out how to do myself from being platinum white. My hair isn't damaged necessarily, it's just dry where it's super blonde. And I wanted to do a dark blonde with Ash brown low lights but I love how yours turned out!! I was actually shocked it looked that good using box dye instead of a "copper brown filler" first then dyeing it brown. So kudos girl👍👍👍👍😍😍😍❤❤❤

Hi sweetie you are a total doll, I was wondering why you just didn't take a base color and add in the red and gold into it and just dye it once? You can totally mix it and just dye it 1 time instead of dying multiple times (cosmetologist here). It turned out GORGEOUS! looks much healthier, good job!

Just to make sure, when you color your hair from blonde to brown, you should buy a red box color and color your hair red and then after that you can color your hair brown?

I'm almost where you were when you decided to ditch blonde.. I've been blonde for 4 years and I've only had a couple of "good hair days" since.. The roots are either too dark, too light, the hair too warm or too cool (not to speak of the damage it does on the hair).. I'm almost ready to throw in the towel and I look cute brunette either way so...🙄 BTW, you look beautiful with darker hair, it makes your eyes pop out!
Girllll, I know exactly how you feel. Some days I look back at photos and I miss the feeling of being blonde (it is such a fun color) but the constant brassiness, root touch ups, and even the way it looks in between washes is just not worth it!! If you have the time, and the money, and the type of hair that can tolerate the chemicals while maintaining health, you are truly blessed. Lol. I like the brown but I really think a lighter tone of brown would look less harsh. I’m sure it will fade tho since you did not use a filler prior to coloring. Either way, it’s much nicer then the bleached color👍

Box dye isn't necessarily bad for you hair, the three main reasons it gets so much shit is because
1. No cosmetologist is going to tell you box dye is fine because it takes money out of their pockets
2. If you don't understand how the color wheel works you will Jack up your hair for example in this video she went from blonde to brunette blonde is yellow based while brunette can be either purple or blue based (typically purple though black is usually blue based) either way if you mix yellow and purple or yellow and blue you get green which is why if she put just a straight up neutral brown without any warm tones in it it would have gone green you need a complimentary color to prevent hair color accidents in this case red cancels out green
3. You do have to be cautious about box dye because it has a higher volume developer (typically a 20v or a 30v) and this is where you have to take your hair type into consideration, hair dye company's do this in order to fulfill their promise to color your hair so they have to take into consideration that your hair may be coarse which requires a higher volume developer in order to achieve results these developers are fine to use on normal hair as well, but not recommended for fine or damaged hair so at that point it's use at your own risk but generally speaking box dye honestly isn't any worse than going to a professional to color your hair

@@mickaykay6593 if you continuously use box for them yes it is a lot worse then going to a professional. I’m not just saying it because I’m a professional. My best friend has been coloring her hair from blonde to black for over 10 years now with box color and her hair is well not in the best condition. If she had been getting it done with non harsh professional color she could’ve had decently healthy hair as of now. Especially since she has blonde hair to begin with. Only if she had known sooner as ive only been a professional for a year now.

what level developer did you use for the dark brown colour?
Siena Petagna box dye doesn’t give you a developer level which is why hair stylists are against it cause everything is so undetermined with ingredients, Amonia levels etc

You're so gorgeous as both a blonde and a brunette!! I love the change. But BABY GIRL PLEASE NO MORE BOX DYE!!!! Metallic dyes are so bad for your hair and unlike professional color, they can't be removed from the hair. Whenever you decide to lighten your hair again (if you do), the metallic dyes that have been forced deep in the hair shaft will cause a chemical reaction with the bleach that can seriously damage your hair (far beyond the damage that bleach alone can already do). I'm a professional stylist, and I'm extremely educated about color theory. I'd be more than happy to send you a professional color formula that's exactly what you need. You can find the professional color online.. I can send you links to sites where pro stylists sell pro color on. You can also find it on Ebay and amazon, but you have to be careful because it could be tainted or expired.

you do your own extensions huh, the placement is really really bad. Your hair wont grow correctly like that. you're putting so much strain on chemically ruined hair, its so weak. you should take a break or get them installed better
