So far, Westys road race has been, in my opinion, great. This has been edge of the seat video. By this, I mean, a lot of people who fish once or twice a week can relate to how your fishing has gone. I myself have had more as you call them blanks than fish. But when that fish comes along, you feel top of the world. Well done on your tally so far, but still a lot left for day seven. Hello mate!!! Really enjoyed the rod race so far.....looking forward to the finale. As a disabled angler I can't travel too far but I have 3 or 4 day tickets fisheries within driving distance for me. I've messaged all the guys that run them to find out what they have stocked in each of them and I'm then going to do a session on each over a few weeks, can't do 4 days in a row, and see how many I can get. Thanks for the inspiration, fishing has been so much better since getting my Korum feeder chair so thanks again for the reviews and getting back to me with my questions!!! Tight lines fella and best of luck with the final 3 species!!!
Great video as always mate well done on the eel & rudd. Here in the midlands its easy to get, there a nuisance tbh using 1 or 2 maggot or pinkies on float. Cant go wrong. Good luck mate. 🐠 🎣 👍🏻

Grass carp Hardest of carp to catch Put in fisheries to keep weed growth down So I think that a very subtle approach is required, Never caught one myself or a Sturgeon either .Good call on that first what you thought a Rudd as not being a rudd. Surprised the gudgeon is proving difficult though
I'm a 77 old amputee and I've recently taken up fishing again after a six year break... All the fisheries and canals around here in the Midlands are stuffed full with gudgeon. But I think that would be just a little to far to drive, even for you.... 😁 Single maggot, 18 hook, loose feed a few maggots, fished close in, gudgeon guaranteed.... 👌

another great vid its a pitty you didnt get a rudd from harrys as they are like a bar of gold with bright red fins due to it being crystal clear the perch are a great colour aswell believe it or not r stan had barbel out of that top one ps i hope you do some more river fishing and tight lines everyone
Don't be scared of the free stretch at night it's quite I've Done plenty of nights on my own down the ribble I don't get why people say its ruff down there only anglers and dog walkers go down there and I literally lived on the ribble in the houses you walk pass
Good vid Westy . No matter what goes on. Just a question Westy , Why do they call that area of the Ribble Bad Country? Is it an unsafe area or another reason .Plus a couple of fisheries showing traps being set for Carp by some people. Some have been warned and banned but others are popping up in Greater Manchester area. Salford Angling etc. the Bailiffs are doing a good job but can’t be everywhere. Just spread the word . Facebook. I think it has something to do with it backing onto one of the worst council estates in Preston. All I know is I have been warned by a number of different people to be careful there !

You should try a free strech close to the tickled trout, way better in my opinion compare to the london bridge
There are grass carp in the rochdale canal near morrisons off Hollinwood avenue.
I've had some success by mixing my groundbait with oxtail soup,especially for bottom feeders.(Lidls has more meaty bits in it)

Never caught one myself, I think they need to be caught off the top or fished for specifically with a subtle carp setup
Gudgeon skulk along bottom,that's why ther top lip overhangs their top lip.
