Thanks for solving a huge problem for me by explaining the needle numbers and matching tips!

Good vid! The VL is a reliable airbrush as long as users keep the needles, aircaps and nozzles CLEAN! My first VL lasted me 18 years (note: Used older VL's in decent shape sell on ebay. They have a bright red handle-the newer ones have a dark red handle like the one on this vid). I bought a new one last year and like the updated internal design. Sprays well. Price has not changed much in 20 years; still around the $85 range.

@JustWonderingHowToDo - Yes, you can do very thin details with the VL when using the #1 needle, nozzle, and aircap. Just make certain your paint is strained and properly thinned and you'll be good to go.

@MacPete187 If it is just the outmost nozzle tip i can mention that Badger sells a "three corner reamer" that is helpful in removing such parts, also you might want to gently heat up the nozzle point with a lighter before g-e-n-t-l-y trying to unscrew to tip with the "Badger reamer" inserted from BEHIND (just like a regular needle), remember to reapply a tiny amount of bees wax (gently heated with lighter to its melting point) to the thread on the nozzle before reassembling the parts.

Ive got one just like your's but I pushed the button down but it was stuck or was gummed up.
    I think Need's cleaned.Like to try a locomotive kit,and weather it ,
    or make it like new.

My VL model has a trigger that is slightly different. It has a metal post that swivels forward or backward. I need to know which way it should be placed as it fell out while I followed your video and I did not see which angle it was at until it was already out. :(
