  • My first turtle project in 20 years! Really stoked to have these and I'm amazed at how fun they are to interact with; even at this size!

What an awful way you were handling these little ones. "Here at Godbold Exotics, the health of the animals always comes first." Right, like they throughly enjoyed you flipping them around, upside-down and shifting from finger to finger. Let's not forget the instance when you dug one out- how you went about that (disturbing it) and then picked up the other one, shook it like you're salting your chicken and splat it down in the water area without any regard to doing so gently or considerate of their perspective. Remember they have a sense of balance and equilibrium.
For someone who has a "passion" for reptiles or as you said, "cold-blooded neighbors" it seems quite clear in this video alone that you don't see them as sentient beings and that's a shame because other people come here for inspiration and knowledge, to receive insights on captive care for their pets.
You have your own company or brand but the passion you display is one of a 10 year old boy, fidgety and aloof to basic safe and careful handling of these beautiful creatures you have been blessed to look after. Now, I went through your channel (as you can tell) and didn't see any other video about them or a follow-up. I'm hoping you still have them and that they survived your mishandling of them. Will you take a few minutes to do a follow up video on how they're doing and how you're keeping them? Surely they have grown significantly since the posting of this video and out grew that enclosure.

I passed them along to another friend. Your long post showed you like to talk out of your ass and are misrepresenting the reality to fit your narrative. That’s fine, bc you still watch my videos. But feel free to keep watching or don’t watch. I don’t care really…
To your request - You aren’t worth a follow-up video for much of anything so…

@@GodboldExotics so clearly you DO have this channel for views and subscribers. I figured. You're pretty predictable. Talking out of my ass because I'm calling you out on the way you treat these little ones?? I would reflect a little more about that if I were you. It would be big of you to acknowledge that you did mishandle them as you can go back and watch the video to see for yourself. So no need for me to say things to "fit" my "narrative" (good choice of words by the way). The least you could have said was that my passion, appreciation and respect for them shows with my first sentence. More than I can say about you in your second one. "Thanks for watching lol" yeah, shows you're not doing it for views.

this type of manhandling is so common, it disappoints me and makes me so uncomfortable. It does not hurt to be gentle with these animals instead of.. whatever this is. it's not that hard to treat animals with respect.
