In northern ontario to grease the front of the bearing we use the GREASE FINGER hander then a 2 picker kangaroo...lol takes less then 2 minutes and all 6 bearing done
Not good news for Victoria today, glad you got out in some descent weather to play and it held up for you to treat the Argo before putting it under cover.👍👍👍👍
Today's trip to the chemo ward was a stressful one - had to go into lockdown zone, had people standing in the middle of the road in the pouring rain, had to escape before floods... the day I decided to blog the trip all the dramatic stuff happened... Video will be up some point in the near future
As an upgrade you should check out the Mudd-ox "Bearing Grease Zerk Convenience Relocation Kit". It wold make some of your maintenance easier. They even have an option for an automatic greaser. I know you are in an Argo but who says you can't borrow the idea.
They are about twice the size of motorbike chain. They don't stretch, rather they wear-in like all roller chain. The load is distributed across 8 wheels which results in considerably less torque on the chains.
Manual states chains should be oiled every 8 running hours, I do outer grease after every major water adventure, and use marine prop shaft crease (castrol ultratak). Inner bearing about every 20-30 hours. I use a hand pump for grease to avoid blowing out the bearing seals. And I use spray pack chain oil

Yeah I've already looked into extending grease nipples.
Going to cost me around $1500 - $2000 to do it the way I want.
Hello, for me.. The chains look to small for that rigs that could explain why they stretch .
They are about twice the size of motorbike chain.

They use 60h 1x36p chain
Nice work! Nipples in Canada aswell lol. Take care!
I have an avenger greasing looks very similar, the avenger has two grease nipples one under each brake disk you may want to check
Yeah I know about those, I hit them up less frequently.
How often do you have to grease the bearings and oil the chains?

You missed 4 grease nipples ……. On both sides of the transmission and below the transmission
@@terryyoung6958 I know, I usually get those ones when I have a second pair of hands.
