Hello! There may be something wrong with your network or the firewall is in the way somehow. I would try using a new network switch and get completely off the other network to test it. BirdDog John goes into deep Play networking detail in this video - ruclips.net/video/gHBkX1PQESI/видео.html
Hello, how do I get the usb-c that is suitable for it, just like the birddog you have in the video? I have searched for it online but to no avail. kindly help with this information. thanks
Hello @CityChurchCardiff! You will need a 5 VDC at 1.2 A brick to power it, and you'll want to use the included cable that came with the Play. birddog.tv/play-techspecs/
I'm looking to add Birddog Plays to 8 different rooms in our facility. I was hoping to rely on the CEC remote control for input switching but I've heard about compatibilty issues with different TVs. In particular, I'm looking to use the BD Plays with LG 86" TVs. Do you have any information regarding compatibility with specific TVs?
Hey Devon. Sorry for the late follow-up on this. CEC has been very hit-and-miss with the Play, hence the creation of this video for alternatives. As of me writing this, there is no official list of what TVs have been tested. It can vary from make to even model. Since the Play is so inexpensive, it may be worth picking one up to try out with your TVs. The BirdDog Central option is the best workaround for controlling multiple Plays quickly.
I entered the birdDog ip address into my laptop (connected to same network) but it said can’t reach page.
What do I do now ?
