    Very nice build!! So the Cults3d files includes everything to build the tanks he has, minus the electronics of course. I really want to build after watching you for about a year or so. I know there’s kits out there but smaller scale. These 1/10th tanks are awesomely massive. Thanks for info!

    I have almost completed the Panther but have come across a killer problem for me my 3d printer build volume is 256x256x256 and the last parts in the HULL section 21L and 22P are just that little bit too big for my printer and both being single STL files even althogh there is five panels in the file they cannot be seperated the issue is the gaps between four of the five panels are just that little bit to wide, does any one have these in seperate or single files ? They ar the panels that cover the tracks on each side it would be much appreciated .

      Hi, you should be able to cut any part up in the printer slicer, and then just glue them together when they are done, but I'll ping in Martin since it's his build.

    • @Hagbergscorner
      @Hagbergscorner 11 месяцев назад +1

      Aloha! I see now that the Panther and the JagdPanther don't have the same number on the hull parts. Is it the back wall or is it the engine deck? In the JagdPanther files you have a choice, there is a file for the complete part and there is a cut part with two files so you can print and glue them together. Or as Mr Wikander says, you can cut the part in the slicer. Hope this helps. 👌

      Hi! PLA is sensitive to heat and sun, so I'm trying to be careful when outside and keep the models in the shade when not driving. Best would probably be ASA, but it's more demanding to print. So far it works great, and I'm guessing that almost-solid track links is pretty sturdy, even in PLA+. PETG would also work, I'm sure. It's a bit more flexible and squeaky than PLA+.

    Mhh... Lots of ( IMHO ) odd choices how things were designed in this Build 🤔 ( coming from someone who designed and built his own 3D Printed Tank: ruclips.net/video/l3_RcOU3zo0/видео.html 😁 )
    @04:25 No reinforcing Screws acting as a Rebar going through the entire length of either of the 3D Printed Shafts be it the one for the Wheel or the Swing Arm itself ( also neither a Bearing or Bushing for the Swing Arm - Lets hope that Plastic on Plastic Action isn't going to haunt him some day 😏 )
    @05:40 Kinda a missed opportunity with the upper and lower frontal Armor Plates to having the typical teethed/interlocking Box Joint design.
    @08:30 As with the Axles - I'd be having serious trust issues with only that flimsy 3D Printed Pin in the Side Walls holding onto that Suspension Rubber Band without it snapping - I'd also argue for Springs to be a better Longterm solution in general.
    Less of a Technical Gripe and more of a Dedication related one is the lack of any Surface Structuring ( imgur.com/hzUu2tB )... Would it be a bitch at that size? Hell yes, it totally would. But at the same time if you've gone through all the effort why not go a _little_ further by doing it adding SO MUCH more to the looks of the Model.

      There are some questionable choices in the design but overall it's really good. The hooks comming out of the sides that holds the rubber band is one of those. The swing arms are strong enough. This is a very lightweight model. 😉

    What is the estimated print time?

    • @slowshop
      @slowshop Год назад

      I have 2 printers, and all was printed in 5 weeks. I use 0.1 layer height on details and 0.14-0.18 on the other parts. 👌

    How much 3D print cost?

    • @Hagbergscorner
      @Hagbergscorner 10 месяцев назад

      The stl files is ~$20 and I think it takes 6-8 kilos of filament. Even with the 3d-printer itself I'm still under $1000 including everything.
