This video does a perfect job demonstrating just how easy these trucks are to work on, and how much you can accomplish doing little projects here and there! We'll have to find you a crew cab ASAP haha
K if they are so easy to work on tell me what’s wrong with mine I had an overcharging problem that was boiling the water out of the battery then it smoked something in the dash then a half mile later truck quit I just finished deleting the fuseable links and the truck will turn over like nobody’s business but won’t fire up it’s not getting fuel for some reason will start with starting fluid but I’m not a fan of doing that
You need to give raptor liner a try. Set the gun by the following. Bottom out the nozzle out, turn it out four full turns. Test the pattern, adjust from there
@@VBELTandSON I have an 89 Cummins that was overcharging the battery and boiling the water out I didn’t know that was the problem at the time then it smoked something in the dash and a half mile later died it would turn over but no start everybody said fuseable links so I deleted them and still have the same issue crank but no start I’m sure it’s probably a solenoid or something any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated
No, it's everywhere up and down the whole state. It just that the minority of reasonable people are scattered too thin, mostly living outside of the built up urban areas. Maybe it's too much sun................I don't know, I'd leave if I could afford to.
Atleast you did the bedliner instead of the stainless steel bed rail caps,I get tired of seeing it on trucks but that being said if I ever get a gm square body truck especially the 74-80 I'd probably put a set of them on it with stake pocket holes or maybe the solid ones but then that makes it harder to strap stuff down in the bed, because I've yet to own a 70's gm square body truck with somewhat straightish bedrails!!
The hype on the exhaust had me cracking up lol. Wish you'd keep it just to mess ar und with every now and then lmao. Really hoping you can get a crew cab going.
Bad ass truck Sam! To bad I’m on the other side of the country (Florida). Don’t see many of those around anymore. I actually have a 93 Silverado that runs and drives daily. Glad to see someone younger than me that appreciates the older vehicles.
I've got a '97 12 valve w/ the NV4500, 3rd gear syncro needs to be replaced, so might as well do all of them. Which leads to the question; "why overhaul when I can upgrade?'' However, I've got the DDX 5spd manual HD trans paired with the DHG 241HD transfer case, so besides probably having to get both driveshafts redone, is it possible to keep the 241HD and use it w/ a G56? And, what about the gearing ratios in the front and rear axles? What needs to be considered when swapping transmissions?
R12 fittings are threaded and 134A are the quick connect type. If it had the quick connect type a previous owner likely "converted" it with adapters. The problem, as we all know, 134A isn't as efficient as 12. If they didn't change the condenser and orifice then the performance will suffer.
I wouldn't take 10 g's for my 93, but then dad bought it new and it's a 5 sp manmission. If I had the extra money and you weren't so far away from Pa I would buy it for my daughter
My first gen has a nice flat bed with locking tool boxes and auxiliary fuel tank. You have way more bed room and they are damn near indestructible. I’ve been rear ended and it didn’t leave a scratch on my truck…. The car was totaled though. The factory first gen bed is super weak they are always bent to shit.
From running a welding bed and a flatbed I would say you don’t really have to worry about things falling off with a good deck. You can always add sides to it if needed and you have way more space and ease of access compared to a regular pickup bed. Plus don’t have to worry about too much damage happening to your rear if you get hit
That’s great… I would have bought it if it didn’t. That would have made me a good work truck with a flat bed on the back of it. Like watching video we’re you bring back trucks from the dead and back to life. Keep up the good work👍🏻
R12 definitely cools better I run it if I can, just mentioning since you said something about gauges, there is definitely a difference in them. With 134 you really need a different condenser and only need about 80% of the Freon charge.

So true, that was a glorious trait of the old school cars, it was amazing to be able to work on your car as a normal guy.

Straight pipe turned out in front of rear tire sounds so good !!!!
R12! Haven’t seen that stuff in decades. Had all the R12 compressors replaced or got rid of the vehicles. I have a can for nostalgia somewhere.

Love your videos. You have gave me a different perspective of Californians. Apparently climate change only happens in Southern California
Haha thank you and that’s a fact SoCal is the ones that give the bad rap a

Great job fixing up the truck, Sam. Hope it goes to a great home. Great video.
Totally worth the price! That'll be sold in no time! The v-belt and son's sticker adds 50+ hp.
Just a heads up the undercoat wipes off with gas. ( melts ) bed liner doesn't.

Sweet first gen if wasn't so far away I'd try to buy it .
That's a great truck. Having functioning A/C is like a unicorn 😂
Favorite truck in the channel
So easy to work on 👍 Great video as always bud.

Project Farm does an awesome vid testing a few different bed coatings, likely others too
nice work buddy 👍🏻 I bet she is gonna be sold really fast !!

Looks awesome, I thought the the yellow truck body might end up on that frame when you first got it. 👌🇺🇲
Thank you and I have the frame and running gear from a 94 that the yellow truck might get
@@VBELTandSON looking forward to it!
Good job Sam as always 👍👍

Yeah not sure what happened but I put 134 in it at first. Didn’t cool much at all. R12 was money
Such a badass truck would love to have that truck
Cab lights maybe before you sell it? Hahaha Would love to put a Pro Tech Headache rack and run it
Nice truck.
What all mulching machines do y’all have and what do you think is the best option for used I have a skid looking a bit bigger
Good deal definitely worth it, if I had the money lol
Plasma cutter are bad ass !
Love first gens!
I thought r12 systems had different fittings and a lot of those systems were converted to r134. Now the r12 works better most the time though
Also on my Dads 93 we just put a fuel pin and 3200 governor spring and man did that wake her up.

Man if I had 10 g’s I’d definitely try buyin it, I love a good 12v
Sam this was a great video 🇺🇲 I really wish I could buy it I know it will sale Fast
what is the advantage of a flat bed? I see more disadvantages because everything will fall off unless tied down

Plus with most flat beds you get a very strong hitch and goose neck.

Just go full red and put a stack on that bad boy ! Ha Ha !!!
hello friend very good your videos greetings. I'm doing the transmission swap to my camilenta and it doesn't turn on, I don't know if you can help me
Looking good man
what is it with your attachment to flatbeds ??
They are nice for work trucks. But I only have two flatbed trucks out of 8 trucks lol
Hey tell big Warren what up 😂👍
I want one😢😢
I don’t even have time download a social media app but my guy here has more than a teenager and works full time and is married now with kids?
No way,
Did you charge his A/C while he was there. Callahan growing like a weed.

Why don't you try Raptor liner next time? I've seen other guys use it and it's good stuff. Can buy it off Amazon for around $100.
Next time I’ll try that stuff for sure 👍🏻

What kinda rayco yall got and do you like it looking at them
It’s an older skid steer one. It’s mean but low on power. Don’t know much about them now
I didn’t know need a little more then a skid got a tl250 and metal tracks is a plus
Did you say Ford head light on !!!
I’ll buy it.
That’s nice

That Rustoleum undercoating stuff is horrible. After about 3 months of the sun hitting it it gets chalky and looks real bad.
