Not foundation but perhaps inflexible mortar product on the masonry that couldn’t bear normal movement …. This is a super great talk on the topic: ruclips.net/video/CnX_SJmHnQI/видео.html His “pieces of the puzzle” great to always remember.
Minor crack running left to right on garage concrete floor that runs up wall, 6 inch 45 degree crack in nearby inside laundry room, separation gap crack and two 45 degree zig zagging coming from bottom on same wall. Settlement or foundation failure?
So since you are in the Houston area where there is more rain, humidity does that make the difference in you deciding on 3 indicators? I’m in the dfw area and I was taught 5 indicators during the practicum.

If you use the machine that you bring into contact with the ceiling, isn't it possible that the ceiling is unleveled?

Make a video showing a house with actual cracks and evaluate it then
I can work on that, I will have my team send me a message if they run in to one.
I want to be a home inspector in Houston where do you recommend I start?
Champions School of Real Estate
Eddie is correct, that is a good place to start.
Slab cracked and settling too much. Just throw some LVP on the floor and sell.
