Simply put. Straight forward. This is the same method I do and use a 4 pin as well. Nice video man 👊🏼. Only two things I’d recommend to people 1. Before setting any pin you can unlock your sight and scroll the head all the way up to have a dead stop zero and also get the most range out of your sight. 2. You can also choose to have your pins lower in the housing to maximize yardage as well.
Great video. Definitely better than some. So I have a five pin so i did my 20 and 60 so i slide back to 20 and put my 60 yard hash mark on my 20 and cut everything from 60 and up off Correct?
Didn't you say you dialed in at 60 yards? So wouldnt you put the tape with the 60yrd mark at the zero arrow indicator instead of the 50 yard mark on the tape?
The further out you go the more exact your sight tape will be when comparing distance between your 20 and say… 60/70/80. He shot at 60 just to get the best feel for what sight tape to use. All this does is tell you the speed and tape to use. If it was a 5 pin he would have put the pointer at 60.
So shoot your top pin in at 20. Sight in your top pin to 50. Compare marks and put the tape on with red indicator pointing to 20 yards. Shoot 30 yard pin and 50 yard pin in. Slider works for 4th pin at any distance. The FPS on the tapes don't matter?
Correct, with this method the FPS isn't used. By getting the arrow drop between two distances (in this case 20 to 60) you can find the right tape and adjust your pins accordingly!
@@MasterTheHunt23 I a using a 4 pin with my 4th being my slider so I still go 20 and 60 and then set it back to the zero stop and place the red on the 50 yard. Just want to make sure I do this correct lol
@@mountaineerdefense2507 love my 4 pin setup! And you are correct. After setting the dial back to the 20 yard mark, you'll put the sight tape over it with the red indicator on the 50 yard mark. From there, the dial and 20 yard pin are ready you'll just need to sight in your other pins (30, 40, & 50) within the sight housing itself!
What can’t you set 20-50 on 4 pin… then find gap from 20-60 on floater. I have 3 pin black gold… I use my sighted in 40 pin as slider than walk back shoot to get my 60 with that bottom pin! Then find the tape that matches my 40-60
I just got a 4 pin MBG Pro and was going to do it the same way you describe. Set it up as a "fixed" 4 pin first. Then do the slider part with the floater. I did my Spot Hogg that way but used 20-60 with the floater pin to get the sight tape.
Just when I think I understand my BG Ascent Dual.....I get lost again. Been staring at it for a week....fml. I should stick with rifles...I can't figure this crap out...lol. But.....a clearly explained video nonetheless. I'm just an idiot.
Haha I definitely get the frustration! It took me setting these up multiple times to finally get it, and I still have to review my notes every time I set up a new one!

Thanks man, that really means a lot! And those are great points that I should've mentioned
Was having issues reading these tapes on my sights. Switched over to Night Sight Tape for my sliders and they have been working well.
How does the dual indicator work?

@@anthonymarkham321 sounds like you got it! After that all that’s left is sight in all the other pins
@@MasterTheHunt23 awesome thank you very much. My first tape I put on I put on incorrectly then

@jeremyhaynes6356 Awesome thank you! That makes sense
You say it gets easier if you do it more n more? I’m trying to set up one bow correctly the first time Could not see the pin or sight tape.
What distance can you get out of this sight
Really depends on the bow, arrow, and pin setup more than the sight, but with my current configuration I can get out to about 130 yards!
Good video. Same information as a few others but presented a bit cleaner and more to the point.
Thank you, that means a lot! And thanks for watching!
