The writers of the show have no idea how to handle their characters. It created a huge disconnect between pure evil rapist Bryce and misunderstood mama’s boy Bryce.

You’re right. However I did thoroughly love the first 2 seasons but this season was just terrible in many ways: shit new character in Ani, trying to make Bryce and Monty into ‘good people’ and the multiple timeline thing felt needlessly over complicated. Also I think Jacob and Eric are right in that after they take out the controversial shit (what i think made the show so good, writing wise anyway) is they’re left with the cool transitions which I felt was overdone a bit and took away from the magic of them. I do think for the most part the acting is consistently good for most of them. But yeah for the most part this season was just garbage.
Yep, I see where you’re coming from. The show handled it horribly but it’s not an inherently bad thing if done well. Problem is it was such a massive swerve and retcon that it becomes terrible!
The redemption ark was terrible and then the people celebrating the murder could fuck off, like yeah i understand they hate him but cheer when he dies, the best way to have show emotion was to not care
The most unrealistic thing is that they would announce that a student died on the intercom. Usually is an email home to all parents and silent discussion (Edit: I guess a lot of schools don't mind this and mine is just secretive, oof. . .)
It's happened in my high school before, one time after a murder suicide and they announced if students needed to talk there's a counselor. I guess it depends on the school, how big it was, or how influential the student was.

U got 1k now
Pastel milk パステルミルク wow! this is the first time I’ve ever reached 1k likes :D
GOOO TIGERSS!!!
Because we’re not listening to much, and because they’re always successfully making fun of these scenes
When they missed Zach saying "I killed Bryce" because they were talking about about a potty training joke 💀😂
I like redemption arcs, I like the Idea that even the worst people can be redeemed and forgiven. I think it's a very good message
HOWEVER...
Yep, I see where you’re coming from.
The show handled it horribly but it’s not an inherently bad thing if done well. Problem is it was such a massive swerve and retcon that it becomes terrible!
I don't think that Bryce deserved a redemption arc at all.
The redemption ark was terrible and then the people celebrating the murder could fuck off, like yeah i understand they hate him but cheer when he dies, the best way to have show emotion was to not care

Next season when they run out of even more ideas they’re gonna have a “musical” episode but it’s just a Wallows concert that has been recorded
This is the funniest fucking mental image, thank you.
Even though Dylan said he doesn’t want the band connected to the show at all 😂💀 imagine if the damn writers put a wallows song in without asking
I don't know why, but I actually want a musical season. That would be so COOL!!!!
the entire season would just be a filmed version of a wallows tour with every episode being a different leg, just for no reason at all
Honestly, it would be better than the show AND have Braeden Lemasters? God Tier
the timing of that reveal when they're talking about potty training is a million times more cinematic than any part of 13rw i cant get over it
Clay writing fanfiction is the only normal teen activity from this show
The most unrealistic thing is that they would announce that a student died on the intercom. Usually is an email home to all parents and silent discussion
(Edit: I guess a lot of schools don't mind this and mine is just secretive, oof. . .)
It's happened in my high school before, one time after a murder suicide and they announced if students needed to talk there's a counselor. I guess it depends on the school, how big it was, or how influential the student was.
Sandra Howlter my HS did it, as did another in my area followed up with where and when counselings were available
They did it at my school for a kid who committed suicide and a few others who died in gun incidents, car crash and overdose.
Nah, this girl from my school who graduated last year died in a car accident and they announced in over the intercom (not many ppl knew her tho)
Artistically are you talking about a math teacher and a vice principal from a middle school and the math teachers husband killed them and himself?
