i just ordered me this Dell P2721Q because of ur video! Right now im using the Dell P2421DC, but the text is so blurry, that i can't keep it. I hope the new monitor will display crisp text for my macbook air m1!
Hi Tuan Do, I just purchased myself this model Dell P2721Q too after watching this video. You are right, the monitor is awesome! However, do you experienced very light screen flickering at times? It's just like you video record from your phone on the LDC light build flickering, if you do what is your solution for this? Thanks in advance.
I personally prefer 2 27's @ 1440 but it does seem like the U and P q monitors from dell got almost everything right. If I were looking for one of these this is a pretty solid quick no nonsense review.
Tks for the review. In the display settings menu there are available different scale options. Could you please confirm which one suits better for the 27” 4k monitor? Is it the QHD?
It looks like the one by default (first from the left) is 1080p HD. From what I've read, it is the one that is the best optimized for the screen and GPU because it is exactly half the native resolution (3840 x 2160p => 1920 x 1080p). Then he switches for the second from the left which is 1440p QHD indeed. It gives him more space but reduces texts size. I would personally prefer 1080p because I prefer larger texts than having too much space. I like having my apps fullscreen, and 1440p leaves too much white space for my liking. But this all depends on personal preferences, whether you have good sight and if you like to open multiple windows on one desktop. FYI the 5K 27" iMac has a default resolution of 1440p optimized for its native resolution of 2880p. Personally on a 27" 5K iMac I prefer the larger scaled resolution of 1152p which I think is the perfect compromise between text size and space. I think it is possible to use 1152p resolution on the Dell monitor if you click on the "scaled" radio button while maintaining ALT/Option key pressed. I will ask Tuan Do in a separate comment what he thinks of this rez.

U2720Q if you use a 15-16 inch MacBook Pro. P2721Q if you use other MacBooks with less power usage. Advice stands for Windows laptops; check power consumption before purchasing, because the power output is different between the two monitors (90W for U2720Q and 65W for P2721Q I think). I don't recommend the S2721QS unless you're using a desktop computer, because the 27W of output probably won't charge your laptop fast enough.
