This video was so interesting! I don't have stretched lobes, but I've had a set of 16g studs I wished I could wear in my lobes but thought they wouldn't fit, since my ears are pierced at a 20g. Hearing you talk about natural stretching inspired me to try - they fit right in. Thank you!

I’ve got very elastic lobes. I pierced my ears for the first time a month ago and am at 00g right now. Lobes are perfect. Got them pierced at 4g and immediately stretched to 2g at the piercing shop. So saved a lot of time that way.

This couldn’t have come at a better time!!! I just bought some gorilla glass plugs for natural stretching!!! I’ve wanted to stretch my ears for the last 7 years but have always been a little worried about it so thank you! 🖤
In all of the videos I’ve seen before about natural stretching/dead stretching, to me, they always feel like they exclude sizes below a 2g or 4g because they often rely on the weight of the jewelry. Because of this, even though I knew dead stretching was healthier, it felt mostly unachievable for me because I’ve got one ear at a 6g and the other at an 8g. However, the way you explained it made it clear that even smaller sizes work with this, so I’ll definitely do this in the future!
Bought a cheapish acrilic stretch kit cause I lost contact with my piercer who I got all of mine from. Went from a 16g to 0g within a year, I regret not having a piercer do it but I live with how my loves have healed. Not bad but definitely should of waiting longer to get it to 0g Thank you for your video it was helpful!
omg i found the stretching guide a while ago and it got me into your channel! ive been a consistent viewer ever since. clicked on this playlist because i want to start stretching my ears. cant wait to rewatch some videos and see others for the first time!!!
Yes, I love glass plugs, been dead stretching with them since I was at 8g, now at 7/16"and I brought the in-between sizes at 7g, 5g, 3g, 1g and 9mm and they helped a lot to me. Stretching with single flare glass plugs was easier than the taper method.
thanks for making this video, i've wanted to stretch my ears for 9 years and am finally getting ready to do it :D i would love to know more about the science behind natural stretching!
Oh my…. This has just blown my mind in a good way. Whilst at uni, over a decade ago I tried stretching my ears with tapers and it was beyond painful and I gave up. I’ve always wanted stretched ears but that pain put me off. Now I’ve learnt that it didn’t even have to be that painful… game changer. Thanks!

Thank you so much for your content! I wish I had this info when I was younger, I blew out my ears many times. Trying to stretch again and they are stubborn but I’m taking my time and will be getting some half sizes! 😊
Thanks so much for this video. I have tried stretching my ears many times in the past, but my ears always bled. Turns out that the person who told me to stretch my ears every two weeks was wrong for giving me that information... I'll try to wait a few months for my new stretching journey once my plugs get here.
I know for me , it was a gradual stretch . I am at a 0g now but it took me almost a year to get there. I have small ears and am prone to infections . So it was a gradual process , once there was no more irritation and I could remove and insert the original plug with no issues I knew I could go up a size. I honestly think that gradual stretching should play a high role in modification. Know your body and how the tissue heals .
That’s a long time, I’m at 00g right now and I got my ears pierced for the first time 4 weeks ago. I got a large gauge piercing, got it pierced at 4g and stretched to 2g right away. And then went up 1mm per week with zero pain
I've just started to watch your videos and watching these particular videos on stretching ears has made me miss mine so much. I was stupid and naive when I was younger and improperly stretched mine till one of my ears had a massive blowout that lead to it almost completely ripping my lobe. (There's a small piece of my ear that is still connected) I'm wanting to get it reconstructed and eventually, if its possible for my ear, stretch them properly. I watched your video about stretching after reconstruction and it helped me have a game plan for when I do finally fix them. I have also accepted that if it's not possible that it just isn't for me. Your videos are so informative and very helpful! ❤
@@lifehatesjess ugh lovely!!! thank u for sharing (: i recently restarted my stretching journey after closing them up in middle school !! glad to be back 😌😌😌
I stretched wrong last time, as I was about 13 and my mom told me the wrong way to do everything, and I had no internet access, and I trusted her because she has stretched ears. Now I know she got there pretty riskily lol. I’m stretching up again after letting them get smaller (like to 12g after a year after being 15mm) and I feel a lot more prepared. Thanks for the help!!!
This video absolutely helped me so much! When I fist started stretching back in highschool I wish I had watched this video. Im more confident in starting my stretching journey again:]
I’m piercing care certified, I love natural stretching, I had to use tapers for the smaller sizes but after I reached a 2g I was able to do stretches in increments, in my area we call natural stretches “dead stretches”. Despite the name dead stretches should not be painful, you’ll sometimes feel twinges but not rips or blow outs
Great tutorial and great that it's still used a year later. Question for people/Lynn from a newbie, how long after your stretch before you can take them out overnight if needed? How often should you remove the plug to clean the hole and piercing?
When I first started stretching my lobes I think I went from 18g to 12g painlessly within about a week. I had my ears pierced when I was 4 months old and started stretching right before I turned 18 so the tissue was just chilling. I don't recommend doing what I did - I also used tapers because I didn't know better - but this is just to prove that stretching can absolutely be easy and painless when your ears are ready. When I got to larger sizes it did get harder, largely because I didn't wait long enough and also because the tapers I used skipped sizes. I didn't even know in-between sizes like 1g existed. I'm at 0g/8mm now and have been for a few years. I remember trying to size up to 00g "just for fun" and the taper just went right in one of my ears with ease. The other didn't want to stretch though so eventually I just let the 00g side shrink back down to 0g and I'm very happy with this size. It's big enough that there are obviously huge holes in my earlobes (idk why I love that lol) but not so big that I have trouble finding jewelry. Plus I have fun party tricks like being able to fit a combination lock (for like half a second - not tryna destroy my untrained lobes with the weight) or a pencil through the hole lol
Have you seen anyone who's able to naturally stretch a lot faster? I've rushed sizes a couple times but learned to only do it if there's no resistance or pain whatsoever and I still go up 1mm in about 9 days on average
This video is very beneficial to me because I got one of my lobes done when I was younger by a piercing gun at Claire’s and that piercing has quite a bit of scar tissue that’s kind of hard and the other one that I also got done at Claire’s like a year ago because I’m impulsive and I hated people asking why one Lobe is pierced and the other isn’t I had a bit of complications with it healing because I neglected to clean it so there’s a slight scar on it but the piercing itself is softer and malleable and I got a gauge kit on Amazon. I know that’s not recommended but I’m pretty sure it is sort of surgical grade steel, I personally don’t have any bad experiences with metal reacting I also just don’t have the stretchiest skin in general. It’s very firm. But I do have patience and personal water-based lubricant so I think I’m going to do it. I’ve been thinking about it for a while.
Please do an in-depth video on how to naturally stretch it would really help me! I am just starting out my stretching journey and I don’t really know how to start. :)
I wish I had this information when I started my stretching journey. I had a bad infection when I first attempted to go to 0g because I forced it too soon. I naturally stretched from 0 to 00 with absolute ease. Im hoping to go to 1/2 inch eventually as my end goal
Just started my journey to my goal of 2G-0G. Place I went to pierced at 10G and immediately tapered to 8G so I’m less than a week in with 8G hoops. Hopefully scarring is minimal and I plan to go much slower going forward. Definitely like the idea of using glass plugs and going slow.
Im currently at 5/8. When I started stretching in the early 2000s, it was an unnecessarily brutal proces, thanks to misinformation. Since guaging from a 4 until now, the process has been way easier. Nothing nore than slight discomfort and tightness since then.
Could you make a video on where a lobe piercing should be placed in order to get a perfectly placed stretched lobe? I'm thinking about stretching mine but I am a bit afraid they might be pierced to low and would look bad if I stretch them out. So I might want to repierce them.
thank you for this video i was literally about to buy an acrylic kit with tapers and i was like hmm maybe i should watch a video on how to do this lmao. so i ordered my first glass plugs instead :)
i stopped stretching in 2015, my goal has always been 16mm and im at 12mm, i’ve been thinking about stretching again and your videos have helped a lot, but i have a question; when im natural stretching how long do i need to leave the single flared plug in? can i take it out after a couple of days or do i need to leave it in for longer? thank you for the video!!
I had my ear lobes pierced in Apr 22nd this year, so it's been 5 months since I had them pierced, I'm going to buy the atlas glass plugs from bodyartforms in 14g and give this a try... I can see a gap in my piercings, little, but visible, hope this is what I need.
You said "in studio stretching" is that just going to your peicer and having them do the work for you? I'm thinking about getting mine done to at least a dime size and don't want to cause any permanent damage 😅
I’m trying to go from a 26 mm to a 28 mm. It’s been about two weeks since I went from a 25 mm to a 26 mm. My elasticity has dramatically changed over the last few years that I’ve been stretching. I’ve never found it so difficult to move up in this span of time.
I will say this, Glass is cheaper and looks so much better, but oddly, sometime glass doesnt work as well as metal, lately, my girlfriend has decided to stretch her ears, and when it came down to putting in the next size of an 8G, I bought her a nice pair of Glass, oddly they never wanted to go in, so after a few tries, I bought her a pair of metal ones, and they slipped right in with no problem.
@@Lynn_Loheide they measured pretty accurate oddly, which I didn't understand, but the way I think of it was her bodies way of saying no to glass lol, as for me, I'm at 16mm, and my right ear wasn't havening it until I hunted down a 15mm plugs, because even through years of slow stretching, I built up a small blowout without knowing, and it's only been in the last 5 years that I have gained huge amounts of good knowledge that I wish I knew 15 years ago.
I want to start stretching my ears and I want to use the method you described 🥰 I have a question! If I’m allergic to most metals and usually use titanium, would you recommend the glass plugs? I usually swell when I get piercing also, would that be an issue when trying to stretch my ears? Thanks!
Id still try glass to start! Specifically glass from a safe quality company and with good quality o rings. If you are worried about swelling you can always have a piercer help you at first but it likely shouldn’t be much of a issues because a new stretch isn’t a new piercing or even a wound
Remember you talked about how you purchased jewelry before you made the decision to stretch you’re lobes? Same thing just happened to me! Let’s see how big I end up going 😅 thanks for the inspo❤
So I'm getting another piercing and im stretching my lobes and I (should) be going up by .5mm in mid-April and I'm getting my new piercing in May. Do you have any advice you can give to me? (since I've never had piercings before a couple years ago [and only started stretching this year]) How do I take care of my old piercings/holes while my new ones heal?
I think i somehow managed to combine tapers and natural streching? I did natural streching but instead of putting the next plug on straight away i slid a taper through first. I always stop if their is any pain or resistance and try again im a couple months. When i got recommended this video from a peircer i thought i was doing streching horrendously wrong.. turns out i can save myself some money and do exactly what ive been doing just without the tapers lmfaooo
I have 16mm stretched lobes and sometimes (I tracked my cycle and I think it’s in correspondence to my hormones) my lobes get itchy and I have to remove my plugs. And When I then try to put them back in, my lobes shrunk in size and it’s a hassle to get them stretched again. Should I go back and stretch again? Or how can I prevent it?most of the times I just use softer plugs (silicone) or different shapes (saddle, teardrop) til my titan double flared fit again. It never really bothered me til I met my now hubby and he could leave his tunnels out for days (12mm) and nothing happens. Or is it just my body/skin? Thank you in advance for any tips 🖤 love your content on all platforms 🫶🏻
i just did my first stretch two weeks ago the right ear taper (1.6mm) went in without anything nearly flew out the other side but the left one was a bit slower to go inside but all was well now waiting to go to 2mm
Well my ears are unfortunately too tiny for streching but I am really interested to see those, looks quite painless and healthy and just like everything in life becomes much more successful when it done slow and steady.
I've had friends have blow outs and a lot of damage. I was impatient and went from 2g to 0g in 3 hours. It's sore. But it's getting better. Bled some. I'm watching for a better method for my other ear.
Do you think you might ever make a video on safe cartilage stretching? I've had so much trouble finding information on it! I have a 14g conch that I'm interested in taking up to a 12 or 10 (in steps obvs), so a minor stretch in the scheme of things, but I still want to make sure I'm doing it right!
@@andiewfs_XIII you can stretch cartilage- it’s just a much slower and spicier process than lobes or septums so folks will often get punches instead. Since I’m not going much bigger though I figure it’ll be cheaper and less painful at the end of the day to stretch instead of repiercing/punching :)
Hi! I have severe metal sensitivities and wanted to do a wee bit of stretching so I can use tunnels/saddles to wear regular earrings (especially the saddles with the little eyelet on the front). I’m having trouble finding any end-goal jewelry that won’t make my earlobes angry (titanium, niobium, naturals, ect). I’d love to know if there’s any possible options before I start, as google hasn’t been helpful (plus, it might make for an interesting video?). Thanks for making such detailed and informative content!
There are titanium pieces you could wear! And south shore adornments makes earring plugs that are brilliant and can convert your old earrings in hypoallergenic ways.
If the next size just slides in with zero pain, issues, etc, does that mean it is ready? Also, do you know how connective tissue disorders affect stretching? Such as Ehlers Danlos Syndrome?
I have a question, I used to wear heavy earrings and my hole in my ears from my first piercing looks a little torn and there is scar tissue. I do however have a second ear piercing and that doesn’t have any problems, should I just stretch the second hole?
Just got my two gauge piercings today, both 10mm. It didn't hurt at first but now my ears are throbbing and I was wondering what I can do to make it a little bit more comfortable for me. Also what glass plugs should I use, I have earrings in right now but in 2 months I plan to go to plugs
I've never had my ears pierced. How quickly after I get the initial piercing can I put a stretcher in there and what is the smallest size that will fit for someone who's never had their ears pierced? Thanks!
I got pierced at a 20g then sum years later got hoops at a 18g went right in jus got my first stretch kit yesterday and slid in a 14g on my journey to abt 00g to 1/2” depends on how I feel with them that “big”
I want to stretch a little bit the smallest size they have yk I've have my ears pierced for 5 years and only recently I've been interested in stretching and ik I don't wanna go large at all and stay small so this is very helpful since I've never stretched
It’s been a good while since I stretched my ears though they hurt for a bit but I’m able to stretch my ears just stay sore for a bit I try my best to rub them and rotate the gauge
I want to do this, but I currently have regular piercings and they have thick scar tissue inside. Even regular earrings hurt and get infected regularly. 😢
I just have standard lobe Piercings what would you recommend as a starter kit or company. I tried to find some online but I would like to use glass but I can’t seem to find 18/16 gauge the smallest ones
I'm trying to stretch my ear slightly so I can put in some more permanent earrings that are actually meant for lip piercings but they're the best quality flat back earrings that I could find. I don't plan on stretching my ears more than maybe 10 gauge or 8 gauge. But my right ear has been closing up on itself since I got my ears pierced when I was very little. So over time my right ear lobe has a lot of scar tissue around the piercing and my left ear lobe has none at all. Or at least none more than a normal piercing. Would this affect my ability to stretch my right ear? Would there be a limit to how much I can stretch my right ear?
hell yeah! i started stretching a year ago & my ears were relaxed enough i could size up pretty fast at the start but since i reached around 2mm naturally its taken a little more time between sizes (currently at 6mm) but its been Entirely painless by just trusting my body's signals and not rushing my body (:

I was stupid and naive when I was younger and improperly stretched mine till one of my ears had a massive blowout that lead to it almost completely ripping my lobe. (There's a small piece of my ear that is still connected) I'm wanting to get it reconstructed and eventually, if its possible for my ear, stretch them properly. I watched your video about stretching after reconstruction and it helped me have a game plan for when I do finally fix them. I have also accepted that if it's not possible that it just isn't for me. Your videos are so informative and very helpful! ❤
I just started my stretching journey and this was really helpful and informative. Thank you so much 💛💛
hows it going?
@@chioma916 hi! It’s going well. Sitting at 7 mm right now. 😍
@@lifehatesjess ugh lovely!!! thank u for sharing (: i recently restarted my stretching journey after closing them up in middle school !! glad to be back 😌😌😌
Me and Nancy Kate have the same charms! They’re the best. Thanks so much for this guide!
Twinning!!!! Y’all have great taste!
Despite the name dead stretches should not be painful, you’ll sometimes feel twinges but not rips or blow outs
i appreciate your content so so much, ive learned so much from you Lynn and cannot thank you enough!!🥺💛💛
Great tutorial and great that it's still used a year later. Question for people/Lynn from a newbie, how long after your stretch before you can take them out overnight if needed? How often should you remove the plug to clean the hole and piercing?
hi! not lynn but lynn does have a video on maintaining goal sizes that i saw recently that goes over some of your questions!
Thank you for this! I would LOVE to see you do a video on the science behind stretching
Thank you I’m stretching my ears again. I used to rush it. I want to do it right this time. Love that nail polish color.
I’ve been thinking about it for a while.
this video saved me i stretched to 4g in 2 months when this was uploaded. ive been dead stretching for 2 years im at 9mm and my ears feel great
Please do an in-depth video on how to naturally stretch it would really help me!
I just started ny stretching journey. Im so excited. Thank you for this info😊😊
Putting in 14g right now! I’m excited to start my journey, I don’t plan on going very large. My family is def going to hate me😭
This video was so helpful 🥰 cause I’m starting mines now and now ik buying the right things thank you
I wish I had a video like this when I was stretching my ears with acrylic tapers and Vaseline back when I was 16
I love your videos! I’ve been obnoxiously sharing with folks! HAA thank you!!!
Took me a year to get to 9/16 and OH BOY there was a lot of pain with it. No blow outs though 😮
thank you for this video i was literally about to buy an acrylic kit with tapers and i was like hmm maybe i should watch a video on how to do this lmao. so i ordered my first glass plugs instead :)
i stopped stretching in 2015, my goal has always been 16mm and im at 12mm, i’ve been thinking about stretching again and your videos have helped a lot, but i have a question; when im natural stretching how long do i need to leave the single flared plug in? can i take it out after a couple of days or do i need to leave it in for longer? thank you for the video!!
Thank you so much!! I have been looking for good advice and this is what I needed.
Starting tomorrow
I’m trying to go from a 26 mm to a 28 mm. It’s been about two weeks since I went from a 25 mm to a 26 mm. My elasticity has dramatically changed over the last few years that I’ve been stretching. I’ve never found it so difficult to move up in this span of time.
I suggest waiting 1-2 months between those sizes and not skipping 27mm
I will say this, Glass is cheaper and looks so much better, but oddly, sometime glass doesnt work as well as metal, lately, my girlfriend has decided to stretch her ears, and when it came down to putting in the next size of an 8G, I bought her a nice pair of Glass, oddly they never wanted to go in, so after a few tries, I bought her a pair of metal ones, and they slipped right in with no problem.
Hmm. Did you measure them to ensure the mm were accurate? What brand were they!
Thank you so much for replying! I am on the website you recommended. Are they all glass plugs? Just trying to figure out the site ☺️
@@cierra9289 they are!
Remember you talked about how you purchased jewelry before you made the decision to stretch you’re lobes? Same thing just happened to me! Let’s see how big I end up going 😅 thanks for the inspo❤
Hey :) do i need to sanitize the earings with alcohol before putting them in? Do i also need to put alcohol on my earlobe ?
So I'm getting another piercing and im stretching my lobes and I (should) be going up by .5mm in mid-April and I'm getting my new piercing in May. Do you have any advice you can give to me? (since I've never had piercings before a couple years ago [and only started stretching this year]) How do I take care of my old piercings/holes while my new ones heal?
This was extremely helpful. Thank you!!
I think i somehow managed to combine tapers and natural streching? I did natural streching but instead of putting the next plug on straight away i slid a taper through first. I always stop if their is any pain or resistance and try again im a couple months. When i got recommended this video from a peircer i thought i was doing streching horrendously wrong.. turns out i can save myself some money and do exactly what ive been doing just without the tapers lmfaooo
a bit of a random question but where are your glasses from they're so cute !!
Please do a video on septum stretching. 🙏🏾
Wondering if I can use acrylic tapers to stretch up to 14g my ears have been pierced since I was 16 yrs old
you're gorgeous, girl! love the video AND the website. Definitley going to safely stretch throughout highschool.
Here from your TikTok. Hello!
i just did my first stretch two weeks ago the right ear taper (1.6mm) went in without anything nearly flew out the other side but the left one was a bit slower to go inside but all was well now waiting to go to 2mm
How do I know if my ear isn't ready for the next gauge yet? Is pain the limit?
do surgical steel tunnels work for this as well? I've always used surgical steel on larger sizes and it *seems* like it is going well
Well my ears are unfortunately too tiny for streching but I am really interested to see those, looks quite painless and healthy and just like everything in life becomes much more successful when it done slow and steady.
Is body art forms a good place to get my glass plugs just ordered a 60 dollar kit 😔
I've had friends have blow outs and a lot of damage. I was impatient and went from 2g to 0g in 3 hours. It's sore. But it's getting better. Bled some. I'm watching for a better method for my other ear.
Don’t skip 1g 🥲
Do you think you might ever make a video on safe cartilage stretching? I've had so much trouble finding information on it! I have a 14g conch that I'm interested in taking up to a 12 or 10 (in steps obvs), so a minor stretch in the scheme of things, but I still want to make sure I'm doing it right!
I think that the only way to do that is get it hole punched by a piercer
What about those super stubborn ears who just don’t want to stretch out? My one ear refuses to budge. While the other is the complete opposite 😭
I have a question, I used to wear heavy earrings and my hole in my ears from my first piercing looks a little torn and there is scar tissue. I do however have a second ear piercing and that doesn’t have any problems, should I just stretch the second hole?
I’m just starting from a standard lobe piercing size. What size should I start with
Hi! Since tapers aren’t recommended what’s the first plug size I should go to? I’m staring from the standard lobe piercing size 💗
I usually suggest 18 or 16g captives as your first piece if you are starting from t standard earrings
Thanks!
Why not consider getting pierced at a larger gauge?
How different would the process for septum stretching be?? Is the skin that different from the ears or are they similar? :)
It’s very very different alas 🥲 septum stretching is…..spicy.
