    Really well done & informative video!! Do you think you'll be doing any on stretching septums or other piercings in the future?

      Yes! I definitely plan to cover stretching other piercings as well. 🥰

      i second this! would love to hear about stretching conches too and if doing a conch punch over an existing piercing is a better option

    i love your stretching content sm! its super informative and easy to understand. do you think you'll make a video about stretching cartilage piercings, such as conches or flats?

    can you make a video about limitations/how to know when you have reached your max size.. for example my goal size was 3/4" but it alwyays starts to get irritated around 5/8 to the point where i have to remove the jewelry and size down. i have gone back down to 00 and its only 1 ear that gives me issues and i believe its because the original peircing was too close to my head (walmart & claires era) not sure how that was ever allowed. but i have found no videos on how to know i cannot go any larger. thinning is obvious but there are less obvious signs.

    Were you referring to EDS when you talked about a disorder that makes it easier to stretch?

    I would also recommend checking out dad's woodworking and stonewolf adornments.

      Dads is not safe quality. :( he openly uses unsafe resin and has doubled down even after being shown evidence it’s unsafe and once made plugs that depicted a lynching. Not someone I feel comfortable supporting or telling anyone to support.
      Russel’s stuff at stone wolf is great though!

      @celestial86 2 года назад

      @@Lynn_Loheide I mean there's also tons of research suggesting cured resin to be safe... Who knows. I know I'll keep wearing the beautiful pieces regardless :)

      @@celestial86 there is- but the resin he is using isn’t the kind that been tested and found safe for wear in the human body. I actually have a whole blog post that explains how this testing works and why resins like his don’t meet standard.
      And even if that wasn’t the case I’m just not down to support someone who makes racist jewelry and doesn’t apologize for it. But that’s just me!

      @@Lynn_Loheide fair enough, thanks for the eloquent replies. I'll have a think about all this and probably read your blog post.

    For someone who began stretching using tapers in the beginning, I’m at an inch. Do I still have to wait like 4 months to stretch in 1mm- maybe 2mm increments? I’ve only had one blowout in my entire time so stretching and it was due to the cold weather damaging my ears. Should I wait longer? I don’t want to damage my ears.

    I don’t know if you will see this but I just reached a 1/2 inch yesterday and I was able to get my tunnel in my left ear super easy no pain as usual but my right ear is having a little trouble putting it in so do you have any ideas on what I can do to help it go in?

    • @Lynn_Loheide
      @Lynn_Loheide  Год назад +2

      Tunnels aren’t usually ideal for fresh stretches- the thin walls can cause damage and even blow outs. I usually suggest solid plugs for stretching.

    Hey! im tryna find more info about how to stretch safely with a really thin bottom, i feel like everytime i stretch it just enlarges and thins out the bottom rather then the whole thing. Before i get a little incesion done to eleviate that, I wanted to know if you had any advice, a video or no of other videos that cover this issue. thank you sm

      If you have a thin spot you generally need to get it repaired by a heavy modification artists. Sometimes downsizing and restretching can help, but most
      Folks end up needing a repair.

    • @Lynn_Loheide

      You skipped 3 possibly four sizes depending on what mm your 7/8 and inch are. You should never skip sizes. I agree with removing them and letting them heal. It’s very likely you’ve caused tears or even a blow out if they feel hot like that.
