I am not a very big religious person but I honestly believe that bob is in heaven.
if you are not religious but still belive in heaven, shouldnt you be worried about where you are going after you die?

I found that my samsung TV has a live 24/7 Bob Ross channel... I found it just as I'm going thru some difficult times and it definitely makes me happy
It wasn’t about him it was about his love of painting ,I truly think he wanted to pass this method of painting on to us and make us happy
I know as an artist you see nature in a different light, I haven’t gotten there but I’d love to. But this episode just made me so happy hearing him say like “the Fox comes over and sees what’s goin” “that’s a dark corner for the bunny rabbit to live” “this is a wonderful place for a bush to live with all the water it wants” or something along those lines but those comments like made me so happy??? It was the purest thing and I love him so much why am I so emotional?

Even as a kid, when I watched him a few times, I could never get over just how good he was with mixing colors and just playing with them.
Bob Ross is what you would hope God might be.
He creates, a bit absent-minded (oh that rock there? let's give it a friend!) but gentle, highly-skilled, and just somebody that you could listen to and observe without ever being bored or impatient!
His voice makes me fall asleep, most times I dose off halfway thru his paintings and I try to fight it to see the end results... oh Bob...

YAY!! I have been struggling, trying to look for my first painting, wondering where to start. I am thrilled to have some direction! (Thanks Bob! ☺️)! Over the last few months, I have been buying the materials needed “for a fantastic little painting” now it looks like it’s time to put the brush in some gesso and get painting! Thank you to the people who made the decision to honor Bob’s wishes to keep his dream alive. I am excited to hear some of Bob’s paintings will be on display at The Smithsonian Museum! I am sure Bob is looking down from heaven with a huge smile knowing all us are his “students or fans’ are still learning the ”Wet on Wet technique”. Personally, I like to think we are all Bob’s extended family). God bless!

Did you guys know that Bob Ross actually paints three times per episode? The first for reference while shooting, the second is what we see him paint, and the third is for his "how-to" tutorials.

He really does do 3. Then donates all three to various PBS stations across the country. The third one is more detailed, as shown in his how to books.
I miss Bob Ross so much. As a child I would be so thrilled when an episode would appear. God Bless you, Mr. Ross.
Adding the blue at the beginning made that painting amazing by itself

Who smiled ear to ear when bob chuckled and said 'and beat the devil outta it'. Omg this man, so much love he has spread, and so many artists he has created. All the biggies of the world, the rembrants & picassos and van goghs dint inspire as many as bob did. He makes you believe that U CAN paint even if u hv nvr picked a brush. Bless his soul. 💕
I like that you can hear the cameraman laugh when Bob says he’s a “messy painter”.
Seeing an already intricate design on the canvas at the beginning of the show let me to believe that this is going to be yet another fantastic painting. I absolutely love the blue and green in this painting. It gives a cool tone to it yet a lush and warm and even moist feeling to it, as if it's a jungle. I absolutely love the trees in the background and the leaves and highlights in the front, along with the river and the crashing waterfall. All in all this is all yet another great painting on another unique canvas with unique design to it.

I truly miss this man , but I guess God needs his angel home ! I thank him for all the years of joy , i had watching him paint one beautiful tree or magnificent mountain after another! I will always miss him and all his little pea pods ! Thank you Bob Ross for all the joy and pleasure you brought to me and millions of people!!! I know you are teaching in heaven!!

Bob Ross is THEE CURE for anxiety. Dr’s need to start prescribing their patients an hour of his videos everyday. Because CBD, with Bob Ross, is the cure.
*The Joy of Drinking: The Bob Ross Drinking Game*
Drink a shot whenever Bob:
• Starts the painting with the 2 inch bush
• Says "Happy little cloud/tree/bush
• Uses the Van Dyke Brown
• Says that something "lives" somewhere
3-second chug whenever Bob:
• Washes the brush and beats the devil out of it!
• Starts painting a mountain
• Decides to give something (e.g. tree/rock/bush) a little friend
• Says "happy little accident"
Double shots whenever Bob:
• Breaks out the black Gesso (you know sh!t is going down when that happens)
• Starts painting a cabin
• Mentions his squirrels
• Says something morbid (e.g. If he explains how a tree's had a really f#cking hard life!)
Also double shot if he mentions "only thing I have control over is the garbage" or "if I go over time the mean director lady yells at me"

I bob ross at night to sleep. Every night. Season 27 is the most soothing for me.
I watch one of these videos every night before bed. I just get so relaxed and a numb feeling in my throat. It's like I can trust bob without any second thought. 😁

Thank my lucky stars I've been doing art for a long time.....
I've been working on my art game since I was six.
That's 10 years
I am *very* different from everyone else.
I was even bullied for it, which is only expected people who either can't quite think to themselves because they are still discovering who they are (elementary school), and people who are going through one of the most massive changes in their life (puberty), causing them to lash out.
Today I am weird and proud of it!
I've come a very long way when it comes to drawing realistic things

The painting kinda reminds me of that scene in Sleeping Beauty
Boris Vallejo and Frank Frazetta both use acrylic paints as a base for many of their fantasy art paintings. The acrylics give you a solid base and you can use transparent colors over them. Then, with the more solid colors you can give your painting more dimension.
