@@PortableUruguay i think so, he hates supes in general. thats why he and starlight have a back and forth relationship, even had her in his crosshairs at one point but decided not to pull the trigger bc of hughie
Giving an average person Compound V makes them incredibly strong. So I love how this scene shows that when someone like Butcher gets it, he pretty much becomes another Homelander. Although he’s probably still weaker than him since this is Temporary V.
All of the supes in this series have advanced strength, generally around the same level, all are bulletproof and whatever, pop claw was squatting like 9 plates for reps and they said this season the max bench is 5 tons I think? So there’s a lot of variance but butcher is obviously on the high end for strength, gunpowder wasn’t even close.
In season 2 there was a lot of talk in the episodes with the hospital. Lamplighter said they were turning compound V to give solid powers every time and that the people there were just test subjects. The point of this version of compound V is to give reliable solid powers.
Yeah in the comics and the show supes vary wildly in strength, a person like Homelander being far above almost any other supe, whereas some are just humans with powers like Mesmer In the comics Butcher also takes V he doesn’t get powers but he does get Super strength and durability like here, it’s stated that he’s on the higher end of Supes, still would get destroyed by homelander and most of the 7 but able to outfight almost any other supe with exceptions like Stormfront
Love that if you rank ordered every human on the planet that the supes wouldn't want to have powers, Butcher would be at the very top. He ends up getting powers that allow him to easily overpower other powerful, well trained supes like Gunpowder. Ha
In the comics he’s an ex-member of the Royal Marines. In the series he’s ex-SAS. The scene when he leaves to join the SAS does not makes a lot of sense though. I kinda like the idea that whatever power V gives you is the kind of power you want deep down. For Hughie, it's having the ability to get people he cares about to safety. For Butcher, it's having Homelander's powers.
Butcher vs. A member of the Boondock Saints so awesome. His powers starting to manifest as he fought Gunpowder so crazy.
