this is exactly what i mean when i ask for beginner friendly tutorials!! give me each step, color, and brush. this was the best tutorial, thank you!!!!
exactly! i need a VERY basic step by step tutorial to get comfortable with using procreate, i can draw/paint decently with my hands and some medium but on an electronic device not so much😭 all the layering and technical terms are like a whole new world
Great tutorial! I'd also like to say I got annoyed because I couldn't get mine to look like yours with each step... But decided to just roll with it and with the last few steps it all came together to look similar to yours, but still very much like a drop of water. Thank you and to those following the tutorial... Don't doubt yourself and keep moving through the steps.
Dear Melody, thank you for your amazing tutorials. I'm a beginner and I'm following your tutorials. Thank you for explaining each and every step clearly. My creations turn out well thanks to you. Enjoying your videos a lot. ❤️
The odd thing is that initially they look like perfect water drops but having watched the video at the end I could only see all of the layers and shapes. But look away and back and see the waterdop again
Tried this! I have my procreate app sitting on my ipad but i don't know how to use most of it and I don't have any talent in drawing. This is such a good tutorial. I've learned a lot. Now gonna try your other tutorial. Thank you so much! ♥️
Thank you so much ~ I a wondering- if the background color was changed, like to a purple ~ would we change all colors to hues of purple? or would we still use grays?
Would the process be the same if you were creating droplets on an object or person? Would you start with a transparent canvas instead of a white one? How would it work? This looked so easy!
HI, WHEN I TRIED TO DO THE DARK SHADING ON THE FIRST OVAL, I TURNED ON ALPHA LOCK AS YOU SAID BUT MY SHADING DIDN’T STAY WITHIN THE SHAPE, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT I DID WRONG & HOW TO CORRECT IT WITHOUT DELETING IT & STARTING AGAIN? I COULD REALLY DO WITH SOME HELP. 🙏🏼
Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I have a question, if I were going to say draw three droplets, Would I complete each step on one layer? Example draw 3 circles fill in. 2nd layer draw shadows on all 3 droplets etc… ? The reason I am asking Is Because I am confused about the Alpha lock when it comes to 3 items.
Hi you can draw three on one layer, just keep each element (eg. shadow highlight) of three on the same layer. Or you can draw first one and then start drawing the rest on new layers. Hope this is helpful!
Wonderful tutorial! Thank you so much… but I have a question… I am nu pew at procreate and I follow all the steps as you said but the parameters you are using are not the same for me… do not know why! For example when you say 18%size seems kind of small in the box and for me it is different it is so much bigger with the same brush… also with the opacity, you have 100% and when I put this opacity it is so different as your picture… much darker… do you know what is happening? I am looking to buy some tutorials that you offer but I think that something is happening with the instructions or I am doing it wrong 😑 and I prefer to ask first just in case… thank you!
Hi, Enjoyed your tutorial. I followed you step by step but encountered a glitch; I created the final new layer to draw the highlight - I could not connect to the start point to complete the circle, the drawing goes round & round ?? Can any one help me please ?
There is an another way to make that shadow: 1. Duplicate the shape/layer. 2. Alpha lock the bottom layer. 3. Fill layer with dark color (#2a2622). 4. Turn off alpha lock to use Gaussian blur (12%). 5. Transform tool (warp) to expose shadow. 6. (Optional) Adjust opacity of shadow until satisfied. You just made yourself a perfect shadow.

Amazing tutorial! First time I am drawing a "realistic" object on Procreate and it turned out beautiful, thank you!
Well, now you also kinda learn how to draw eyes since it the light fall is very close of that of a water drop/
Even though I only do art for fun, I tried this tutorial and was shocked by the results! very well done, thank you so much!!

What is the name for the group of layers under "layers?" Does it become a "timeline" when you turn on animation assist?
What ipad are you using ?
