Carl, it is always a joy to watch you paint and listen to you explain your techniques. Thank you for this quick reminder to break things down into shapes and to embrace the complexity.
Thank you so much!...Learned so much from your books.. it shifted the way I see a subject. Now its an absolute delight to watch you paint.. that too a tree, which is always a hard nut for me to crack
Found you because I bought your book Your Artist’s Brain and it is one of my fav all-time books. Wonderful lesson, great technical content and also encouraging!
Thank you so much. I am glad the book was helpful. I wanted to make it as easy to understand and useful as possible.. Sharing information with other artists is so fulfilling. Happy New Year.
We have always find your painting very interesting because explanations are very simple and lucidly real for the beginners like us is very very important to learn. Thanks a lot sir.-Hira y'all.bangalore,india.
I use Daniel Smith tube colors which are intense and perfectly manufactured. Then I never mix them on the palette, but use water to allow them to mix by themselves on the paper. Like golf, the fewer the strokes, the better the result. Merry Christmas.

Thanks, Michael. I have to remind myself from time to time.
