@manny if you started by phantom pain you gonna suffer a bit because the controls are a bit funky and stuff, but nothing to ruin the entire experience, just praticing a bit will make you good with gz controls

(unlike Phantom-Pain, there's-no camouflage-clothing on Ground-Zeroes). (Kojima also stated that he purposely made the layout of the soldiers more-difficult in Ground-Zeroes than in Phantom-Pain. He stated why but i don't-recall--at-the-present-moment what he said).
I remember watching my older brother play this game. And him being in disbelief when the credits rolled. Finding out the game after all this time has been satisfying, core memory unlocked

tpp graphics aren't really good, anti aliasing is kinda shit + you can see those shitty textures on the montains because the map is a huge flat land... (i still love the game don't get me wrong)
I don't know if I was lucky, but I completed and played this on my potato laptop with 512mb vram integrated graphics(radeon r5)....and oh boy, for some reason even though it gave me 20-25 fps, it ran smoothly...and the cutscenes were just like in this walkthrough, very smooth....Very well optimized!

This was my first ever introduction to MGS series and let me tell you. I had no fooking idea what I was doing playing this game without context. When I finished it, I was so confused to say the least
Oh man! This is the last game where the real Big Boss did his things correctly because in The Phantom Pain he become a coward who leaves Venom take his place. When I played the last chapter of TPP I was thinking "Damn you Kojima and Big Boss" 😁. Venom becomes the best Boss.
To be fair, it was mostly Zero, but yeah Big Boss just went with the plan to leave the job to his most trusted comrade, the medic, or should I say.... Us?

I see low crawl is valuable. I got cought up on stealth kills and marking enemies, trying to destroy the AA guns you name it. I see you stuck to the mission. But east mode, because I was not sneaking by anyone. I don’t know. I’m going to try this technique. Lol
When I play this (chico and paz rescue) I always for some reason get spotted by enemy when going stealth mode. I don't know why it always happened. The only time I went successfully stealth is when I rescue paz from the enemy. Chico I get spotted by them (enemy) by the rock but I enjoyed the game and keep playing it even whenIgot 99% complete. Btw my dad bought Metal gear solid 5 phantom pain and he lost it. Kinda sad I never get to play it.
It was taking too long to make Metal Gear Solid V and Konami told them to finish the first mission and release it on its own to recoup some of their loses.
This is one of the reasons Kojima doesn't want to work with Konami anymore. They kept fucking with his projects and this is an instance of "business over quality". End results : Konami is universally hated and Kojima is living his best life.
Well, since it was an experiment of sorts. To see what's good and bad, learn and put new things in the phantom pain. And to buy themselves more time for next release. At least that's how I understood it.
Konami adapted a business model where they put less emphasis on quality. They also fucked Kojima over. That is why there is a noticeable decline in the overall production quality of TPP.

Funny how this demo is turned out to be miles ahead of the Phantom Pain that resembles a sea with a depth of a puddle. When I first played this mission I was amazed at how good it was and how we never got something like this in TPP. Infiltrating a base at night with heavy rain to camouflage your presence, no fultons or any gimmick to hide the grinding you have to do in the game to unlock an unlimited silenced tranq pistol, no sci-fi nonesense like the annoying Skulls or robots. No companion that sniffs every enemy on the base to make it easier. No dumb optional objectives like picking up a flower or extracting a useless material container, a jeep or a tank. Just Snake with a pistol, a magazine and NVG. The cassete tape that Chico gives you is great, no marker that tells you where Paz is located, just a tape that you need to listen to to give you some idea where she might be. When I played this I was hooked, I wanted to locate her while staying undetected. Open world running around the desert like a headless chicken was Kojima mistake with this game, among other things and I hope he doesn't make the same mistake with his new game Death Stranding.
The openworld really not working well at Metal Gear series. Maybe the previous games are shorter and much more linear but still has much better stories and missions.
Honestly I would love a game with multiple missions like Ground zeroes in a single game, that’s how Phantom Pain should’ve been. (And like you said without any of the BS stuff like Skulls)
