    Time Stamps:
    Engage 'Mind, Body & Spirit'
    1. Unlearn to Move Forward - Open your mind to create new mental models (consider exponential reality, instead of linear projections) - 1:20
    2. Slow Down to Get a Feel for the Fundamentals - Spend as much time as needed to fully understand the basics, then move forward - 3:02
    3. Read Across Multiple Disciplines - It'll help you to identify patterns & connect dots across different fields, building your own/unique insights - 4:03
    4. Look for Principles - Seek to understand the core/fundamental principles to avoid figuring things out from scratch every time, i.e. Classes in OOP - 5:23
    5. Community Building - Create an optimal environment building a support system of like-minded people (willpower is finite) & positive criticism - 6:40

    7:45 - 8:15 is PRICELESS!
Consciously begin to create and shape the environment that surrounds us.
When you set up your environment for success, your default actions and behaviors become more productive.
The ability to shape our environment is a unique human super power.
DON’T LET IT GO TO WASTE!
It is important to keep in mind that a community doesn’t form overnight but by intentionally seeking out groups and mentors you will begin to notice overtime how you have created your own environment for success.
What a motivator. Thank you! I'm a new subscriber soaking up your teaching.

Try to learn Greek, or even Ancient Greek. You will get to the core immediately and attain new abilities to use creativity and plasticity in your vocabulary and way you think. I am not sure if proved already, but I am confident that learning ancient Greek even in a fundamental level, will make you smarter and think in a unique way. As a western language native speaker, it will help you tremendously. You could construct new words for ideas that maybe there are no words in other languages or no words at all. Difficult language, but miraculous.

Yo, awesome video...I love how you focus on not skipping the fundamentals. That's an overlooked facet of picking up and really learning new knowledge, for sure. I wanted to emphasize the 'like-minded community' part....which often times, depending on how hardcore your goals are, will be impossible. Make sure at the very least you bring in positive people who will encourage you and won't get jealous or angry when you succeed ..The people around you reflect on you whether you want it or not. I'd rather be alone than be with "negative nancys" or worse yet, backstabbers.

The reason why most bachelor programs spend the first 2 years in general studies is to cultivate a more well rounded individual: someone who can pull information from various fields and apply it to the task at hand, the only drawback of how many thousands of dollars it costs to be "well rounded"

    My two bits (:
    1. Cultivate a learning attitude where you absorb knowledge before forming a model. See the Myers-Brig Sensing and Perceiving traits.
    3. Learning a foreign language in a career skill will give you an edge over your competition. Help your child start a business in their hobby before college looks good on the application and will be a necessary skill for smaller companies. If you have managerial skills, learn handyman skills so you can become a landlord, which will bring you income after you retire.

"quel temps fait-il ?" "demain, il fait du soleil" Ce dialogue n'a aucun sens ! Tu poses une question au présent, et la réponse est à propos de quelque chose qui va arriver demain. De plus, presque personne ne mettrait une virgule après le mot demain dans ce type de phrase, et "il fait du soleil" est une formulation incorrecte. C'est soit "il y aura du soleil", soit "il fera beau".

    • @Ratienne
      @Ratienne 5 лет назад +4
