Super-optional boss fights have always been something I found IMMENSELY cool in RPGs all the way back with the OG FF titles; adding tailored, highly tooled fights post-release meant to give really optimized players of your game something to chew on AND packing them with greatly incentivized rewards for the trouble? Masterclass!
The ability to assign the different voice set was also so damn cool, what a great idea! I really hope these guys are getting properly compensated for the love and effort they've put into this game, it is so bloody awesome to see these days. Still can't get over how wonderful the art style and sprite work is 😍 Now fingers crossed they can square away the luxury of time and resources to add that New Game+ mode!
Man, I always hated how we could never have 6 person squads
i'm guessing that it may happen at some point seeing how we have 5 overworld squads/units that have 6 unit teams in them :/ heres to hoping that it happens :)
Possibly holding out as an add-on to new game plus.
If I had to guess, it'd make the player way too strong, though perhaps it could be a new game+ feature where the enemies are also turbo charged.
That's because its for the true final boss. Even Ilenia's og unit was just 5 of them.

Nice. I look forward to getting to the end of the game and playing this post-game content. Also, I wish this game could get DLC. I would love to see the playable characters from Dragon's Crown make it over into this game as a squad you could make. Oh, and New Game + as well.

During the battles, pressing Y (or was it X) will bring up a log of actions being taken. I wonder if they updated that log to include more info.
FYI, another change I noticed in the new patch is that there more generic paladins you can recruit in the post-game. I finished the game for the first time just before the patch and the only paladin I could recruit before then was the generic version of Bradley.

FYI, in a battle, if you click the triangle button (PS) or X (Switch), you can see the detail of each skill triggered. If you click the square button (PS) or Y (Switch), you can pause the battle and check the battle log.

I just wonder what different combos people come up with to beat these fights.
For me, Rogue + Viking can neuter Amelia by taking out all of her PP away with unlockable pp steal. This is also very helpful offensively because poison ticks for 99 and getting rid of 5 adds takes a fair bit of resources. Getting something like a toxic bolt or poison slash to deal 300+ for 1 AP on your quick impetus user is insanely efficient.
Parry also does mad work.
I was going to try out my Shaman build and see how that would go. Hopefully one of my units can survive, otherwise I'll have to respec like in the final battle..
I actually got some mileage out of Alcina and Beaumont in these fights. Double Hoplite in the front and double casted Trinity Rain and Glacial Rain in the back.^^ Works for anything, but Albion.

Abilities now seem to be explained alright, but there's one thing that's not been properly translated, on a default gambit: the attack type selector.
- Attack type > physickally/magickally attacked
The wording has you thinking this is only valid when attacked. But that is not the case, just like a support spell could use what would otherwise serve for an attack (say "lowest hp" for instance) from the player's viewpoint.
When you use Dancer's Bracelet's "Powerful Call", by default the caster will launch it over any attack skill (inc. magickal ones), BUT you can specify "physickally attacked" to restrict it to purely "contact" skills. So you're not exactly "attacked", you're attacking!
Noticed how I said "contact" skill? That's because a contact attack, like a Runic Sword's "Magick Attack", *shall* get buffed by this, whereas it has zero effect on it: because it's a "contact" attack, over magickal resistance. I don't know whether the reverse exist (magic attack over physickal resist).

UO is so much better. I’ve been watching my friend play Eiyuden and it’s not very fun.
@@eddiealva9751 yup. I passed on it. I just decided to check another vanillaware gme i have t played that everyone keeps recommending: 13 sentinels aegis rim.
I still prefer UO gameplay wise but story? Whew. They were right. 13 sentinels is one of the GOATs if not THE GOAT. another masterpiece by vanillaware. Its 2/3 visual novel and 1/3 trpg so that may not be your speed.
The next game i'm looking at is CARDS RPG: the mistu battlefield by acquire (indie). demo has been addicting and i've played it 3x. trpg + deckbuilder hybrid.
Only 2 I havent managed to beat yet is the ones in Albion and Bastorias. Reflect Magick sends me running until i can craft something better than Trinity Rain.
In Bastorias i actually got around the reflect by letting Yunifi freeze everything. In Albion i had to experiment quite a bit, but finally i managed it.
I didn`t understand it completely. So you have another option of adding possesed Scarlet to your class archive, or do you have the option to "change" her voice to the possesed one, if you actually went through that effort of facing her?
Entering the Unicorn Overlord mission before doing the Priestess Abducted mission unlocks the Norbelle archive entry. Having unlocked the archive entry, you are then able to change your Scarlett's Voice with an Idealistic Mirror.

This patch is the "cherry on top". After finishing True Zenoiran, I have arrived at the conclusion this game is the WORST goat milking simulator EVER. Do female goats have horns?
Yes they can, though in some goat breeds the females don’t have horns.
Males typically have larger horns though
So far only the one in Bastorias is kicking my ass. Anyone got build advice for beating that one?
I had Hodrick and Beaumont double tank (with Gran Baris and the Holy Unicorn Signet respectively to prevent status) and Alcina, Auch and Yunifi in the back. Auch has Trinity Rain and is equipped in the way that he can cast it twice. Alcina is there to support and give Auch her magic attack when he starts casting. She prioritizes her Passive Drain to get Reflect Bears PP down as much as possible and to not accidentaly trigger Reflect. Yunifi is there for her Glacial Rain to freeze Reflect Bear in place, just in case.
..........is this new or could you always swap gear right before a battle for a character that was deployed from another character that wasn't and I just didn't notice until now?

I haven't yet, gotta get on it.
I know its a small thing but I'm hoping they let us change the name of squads. So, instead of saying "Bruno's Unit" we can give it a name
Or being able to save a set squad, like the sets of Tactics for unit types.

Not gonna lie if I’ve already completed the game why can’t I use the corrupted amalia, they may aswell give me that for killing them all because I’m not gonna care about being op when I’ve done all the content. New game plus with carried over teams will be pretty much the same too

I would absolutely love more hard content in the game. I feel like my massively growing knowledge of the game is useless since I've already beaten everything, lmao.
I've beaten all of the Amalia teams on True Zenoiran difficulty *using the same exact team.* Still not hard enough. A truly hard challenge should require a team minmaxed specifically to counter it, imo. Hoping for a new game plus in the future where this becomes the standard.
Edit: I just uploaded a video of the team on my channel. Couldn't list the details of the team on a comment here because RUclips kept marking them as spam.
I also have to add that I beat all the Amalia teams almost 100% of the time. I didn't have to restart to get better RNG chances. I did not have to change character positions. I did not have to change equipment. I had to change nothing to the team that I already beat the game with.
I jumped into this update very hyped and honestly left very disappointed.
@@Omar_Al_Seddik try your team against top human players in pvp. I think I know what kind of team you are using, it will be cancelled by pvp wereowls, especially the ones running affliction immunity gears
I agree, the amaila teams were cool but still got clapped all the same in less than 40 min of me downloading the update, I was expecting extreme minmaxxing and did not get that at all

They nerfed the game it seems. Before patch 1.04, I thought the difficulty was correct in expert. But now, it seems easier. Don't know why.

My first run was on hard mode and I didn't think it was that difficult, in my true zenorian run I thought it was easier because I had a better understanding of the game mechanics XD
@@hiagosousa1723 very true. You also knew which classes to avoid. But with that patch, Swordmaster is now very good.
