Many years ago, I bought the Perlman recording of the Dvorak pieces and I never imagined anyone else could toss them off with such lovely and expressive flair. Randall's unforced clarity and crisp phrasing showed me I was wrong. How about some Kreisler next, or maybe the Schubert sonatinas, sir?
