SHINY Max Raid Lairs PATH RESET - CHEATING in Pokemon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra - Guide

- We are back with another cheating in Pokémon Sword and Shield: The Crown Tundra dlc video! As many of you know I have been RATHER OBSESSED with Pokémon Unite right now BUT I felt it was time to jump back in and make another hacking and cheating in Pokemon video. This time i wanted to take a look at a VERY MINOR method of cheating that I'd definitely consider to be "FINE" in my past series and that method is Path resetting in DMAX Raid Lairs (aka Dynamax Adventures) to get an optimal path with the goal of shiny huintng a specific legendary Pokemon. While I understand some people may be driven to do this for extremely difficult bosses like Solgaleo, Reshiram, Dialga or Zygarde I find this method of cheating to be EXTREMELY BORING. The reason is because it defeats that fun random nature associated with jumping into the lair and adapting to your AIs choices and the path before you. THAT SAID, using and abusing this method isn't going to hurt anybody and you most likely will never get banned so you do you :).

To me any form of soft resetting for shinys is not cheating, even in this situation. The penalty is more to stop players from quitting on other players and making the run more difficult for the remaining players. Any form of resetting would be considered cheating by this logic. I enjoy the strategy of finding the best route and funny enough I never got a legendary shiny in this method but gotten others like this. Lol. The randomness makes the runs less stale but some Pokémon like Zygrade and Xerneas require specific Pokémon in the runs or it’s almost a guaranteed fail, wasting your time by 10/20 minutes, depending on if u play solo, no animations, or online waiting for turns, etc. Your still beating the odds and getting a shiny fairly, just more precisely and less time wasted on dead paths
I could not disagree more with the idea of this being cheating. Some of these legends are such complete nightmares to hunt. I'm not looking to get 4 lives one shot in one move by Xerneas for 10 runs to every 1 successful one. This is just an SR with extra steps.
That’s probably one of the only ways to almost guarantee yourself to get shiny special ball legends so I don’t know where cheating came from it’s just resetting the game. Did you think that putting a coin under a d pad back in the day for breeding was cheating?

Except you aren't supposed to adapt to the AI, it's the other way around. This isn't even cheating, what's cheating is the very real intentional AI sabatoge.
I think this is probably the most useful if you're hunting something like that Trevenant that you want shiny but would have to trade to evolve. I don't know anyone irl with a switch and I'm definitely not trading shinies with randos.
Edit: Because unlike the legendaries, you can't ensure you'll be fighting a Trevenant every time otherwise.

You have no idea how much this helped me out with my hunt for shiny Zygarde, once you have a good path with good AI this is a mus

@@Ace_064yes u do but don’t let it get to that point u could always do some random DAs with different legendaries to stack your ore
another use for this is if you want to catch it in a rare pokeball like a dream ball shiny kyogre and but you dont have enough of that rare ball to just keep doing max lairs
There's a trend of using a really interesting, funny, engaging or information clip to open the video to draw in people's attention. I think it's refreshing that you're steering clear of that trend
I did this method for some of the harder legendries that tend to wipe your entire team in one hit.

The only reason I'm fine with "cheating" here is because these raids are broken and can be such bs when going solo. The four overall lives for the entire team just isn't fair esp when things are heavily dependent on AI/luck and considering the NPCs make really dumb decisons instead of just attacking.
If these were more skill based like tera raids (also where NPC deaths don't affect the timer when going solo), I wouldn't have a problem doing these the correct way. But DA's are so heavily imbalanced, there are paths a lot of times where it's pretty much impossible to win no matter how skilled you are, especially with the more difficult ones like Zygarde. That's not a sign of balanced and fair mechanics.
Ofc, it was probably on purpose to force people to buy Nintendo Online, but what happens years from now when not many people are playing? So it's a fair workaround. This isn't"cheating" at all.
Wide Guard is basically required for Landorus bc it has Rock Slide, Bulldoze, and Earthquake ;-;

It’s not much different than regular soft resetting. Wish I could soft reset high school.
i see no fun in hunting for shinies. its pain in the butt. but the shiny latias looks cute, so i will reset this game as much as i have to to get her shiny

I don't concerned this cheating! It's the same thing as soft resetting a legandery whole standing in front of it.
If I reset on them, will there be a chance that they can become shiny if they weren't before?
If you dont play the game the way gamefreak intended you to play its cheating at this point and im done with people who put these stupid rules in video games so they can feel proud about their game play rather kick it with hackers nows tbh
