I inherited, ( sounds better than rescued from recycling,) several Magnolia magazines and they have the coolest matte finished paper that I am not sure what to do with them. The folded over tall journal has great appeal to me now. Thank you for the inspiration 🙏 ❤️

Great journals and back story on each one. I take people's bodies and animal faces or other crazy things for paper dolls. One of my new dolls has one huge eye for the head. The sillier the better I like them. TFS ideas and tips. 💓🕉️🥰

I love seeing your JUNK journals, my very first junk journal (didn't know it had a name) was back in 1990, it was sales flyers, bills, envelopes, etc with 2 holes stabbed into the 'spine' and tied together with yarn. No paint, ink or fancy markers because I didn't have any. I filled that journal with all the stuff that goes with a first pregnancy AND learning about his birth defects. It was lost in a tornado, but I still make my journals with actual junk, love them.

Great video, Shannon! Thank you. I recently got an Amazon holiday gift guide in the mail and it's awesome to make a junk journal with! The paper is not too thin and it's a wee bit matte. It's bound very neatly, too. I'm loving it. If you hadn't spoken so much about doing things like this with magazines, I doubt I would have ever seen the possibilities. I'd have just thrown it out. I hijacked the top of my bread box in the kitchen with my shipping stuff (I do all my Etsy packaging in my kitchen🤦🏻♀️) and all my journal junk...I have some fun things to get glued in! You got me wanting to turn some junk into a book and glue other junk to that junk!

I am within three pages of finishing it up as a tall skinny day book. I will make a video about it. I did not tear out enough pages so it is a real chunky monkey. Yes! I eat Bob Evans tatoes I’m tired of years of cooking and boiling, and mashing potatoes was one of the first things to go. Never looked at pkg will now. Pretty soon the garbage man is going to wonder why I haven’t trash to put out 😂😂
