Its a question that Nishiki asks himself. He understands that he betrayed Kiryu and there's no one to fight for anymore. That's why song called "For who's sake?" (Its my personal opinion lol)
For Buddy: name title shows who he's fighting for; Kiryu. The song sounds energetic and full of life. He has a path set for him, and it's to be there with Kiryu to the end. With his sworn brother by his side, he is not lost and has hope. For Who's Sake: name of the title, obviously, symbolizes that Nishiyiki is gone. The song sounds like a hurt and lost individual who cannot turn back from the path he has taken. He will do anything to get to the top; even if it means killing the people he once swore to protect
I listen to For Buddy a fuck ton and noticed that it felt somewhat melancholic at some points, especially with those repeating notes that shift in pitch. It's almost like a precursor to what Nishiki will become, as if those feelings of resentment and disdain for Kiryu are subtle enough to ignore for him.
Wait he tries to kill reina? I've tried to keep from spoiling myself because I've only played yukuza 0 but I just can't help myself this is one of the best games I've ever played.
Each version of nishiki theme for whose sake tells a story. This one one is more light hearted and upbeat because nisihki was your friend blood brother who would have died for Kiryu that is why the title was for buddy nishiki knew what he was fighting for. But in Yakuza 1/kiwami he didn't have anyone he was fighting for or trying to protect that is why the song is more tragic in 1/kiwami and is titled for whose sake nishiki fighting for himself

Nishiki is the most polarizing character in Yakuza and it is all thanks to Zero cause without Zero you would never truly understand Nishiki or like him like we did in Zero. @@fball50 The time spent bonding with him in 0 + all those flashbacks in Kiwami 1 really just made Nishiki such a compelling character you couldn't help but feel terrible for. I hear those flashbacks weren't even in the OG version, which surprises me.
Nishiki forgot the reason he was fighting in Yakuza 1/Kiwami after his "sister" died. He forgot the reason he wanted to become the top of the Dojima clan: To give Kiryu a spot to come back to at his side when Kiryu returns from prison.
Nishiki: "I'm gonna protect my buddy from this guy who's likely gonna kill him" Majima: "Damn, that sounds cool bro. It'd be a shame if... You can't back your words and have your ass handed to you..."

I love how this has a more upbeat and hyper feel to it. Yet has a bit of a sinister undertone to it to sort of foreshadow the type of person Nishiki would become. The best way to describe Nishiki's leitmotif is uncertainty. Kind of like his character.
Uh oh, personal interpretation incoming: Interesting how this song almost doesn't know what it wants to be, kinda like how Nishiki is emotionally unstable and impulsive, changing with the situation to survive and get to the top. 10 revolutions of the earth around the sun spent in solitary confinement has facilitated your transformation from a capable individual to a cowardly fool
I love that the beginning of this song sounds almost the same as for whos sake from yakuza kiwami/1, it shows that at that moment nishiki has someone to fight for.
If Nishiki knocks Majima down, Reina may throw a Staminan X to him. Get the QTE right, and Majima will steal it for himself, restoring some health. Screw it up, and Nishiki will restore his health instead. In addition, if Nishiki throws Majima to the counter, Reina may try to hit him with a bottle. Don't mess the QTE up, or Majima will hit the bottle. He'll also take damage. Nishiki may occasionally taunt Majima, too. This is NOT an opportunity to attack, it's bait. Attempting to attack Nishiki while he's taunting will result in him dodging it and retaliating with a powerful counter-attack.
Knowing how much fans would argue about Nishiki vs Majima power levels, it was pretty clever for the scenario designers to muddy the waters via Reina's interference here. Especially so as not to take too much piss out of antagonist Nishiki in 1/Kiwami. Just one more example of the great attention to detail given to these characters.
you know i just realized something, when i actually did this fight the first time and let reina hit me due to seeing the achievement by accident, i got the other healing qte right after, meaning i didn't even lose health off of the qte and it looked so cool that i thought it was intentional

Much obliged
Very good character i hope nothing bad happen about him.
Nishiki dancing in the background.
his theme manages to fit his appearance way better than any other characters I know of and their themes
*Thank you, Reina!*
*Kakatte koi yo!*
This is the ride or die theme. I fucking love nishiki and hes my favorite majima boss. He was ready to go on behalf of kiryu and i respected the fuck outta that
The fact that the Y0 one says "For Buddy" and the other one from YK1 says "For Who's Sake" really says alot
Isn't ironic that Kiryu's final Ultimate Battle is fighting Nishiki in a fancy place. It's too ironic
Why am I crying in the club right now
*Bring that shit Kazuma!*
REINA! DROP THE BEAT!!
I'd love to hear this in Tekken 7, if Nishiki was ever a playable character. That would be awesome.
Yeah, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who got serious Tekken vibes from this.
That fight was hella good.

Somehow my dumbass just realised this is a For Who's Sake remix.

Wow. Nishiki sure is that brother we all wish we had. I hope we don't disappear for ten years and inadvertently cause him to turn evil!

THE DUBSTEP
I love that the beginning of this song sounds almost the same as for whos sake from yakuza kiwami/1, it shows that at that moment nishiki has someone to fight for.
1:30 when it speeds up the repeating part. amazing.
The start is so damn good
If Nishiki knocks Majima down, Reina may throw a Staminan X to him.
BUT, you get an achievement if Reina nails Majima with a bottle.
@@YourCrazyDolphin SHH, Don't ruin the joke!
*AKIRA NISHIKIYAMA*
I can imagine hearing this in a aquarium.
The fish are grooving
FISHIKI

First time I heard this I thought it fits perfectly in Tekken 7
This track kicks ass !!!
