Man imagine a fan in the future playing the games in story order to suddenly go from the first Dragon Engine game to one of the most evolved versions of it... would be quite the shock.
It’s crazy how I went from 0-K2, then WENT BACK to the PS2 versions of 1 & 2. I guess that did make the transition to 3-5 easier. From there, it just felt natural. I’m just glad I didn’t give up on playing the rest of the franchise and binged it as much as I did within a year and a half. I’m up to Infinite Wealth and the only other game I haven’t played in English is Dead Souls (which hopefully can be decently emulatable soon enough) and I’ve pretty much enjoyed every game. LJ’s probably my favorite RGG game personally, though. It’s just…damn near perfect.
