Nice video. From what I've seen open field operations with armour and infantry tends to end in bloody failure in the Ukraine war. Drones that guide artillery, drones that blow up soldiers and even armor. We need technology that can effectively jam drone signals.
Way back in 1976 in basic (CFB Cornwalis) my platoon was led by MCpl Wally Renough, RCR - tough as nails, fair. I came out of it with great respect for the man. Almost made me want to switch from the Navy to the Army. Almost.
Cool video. Do the CAF ever train against USA, UK, etc. forces? "Friendly" competitions in their territories? Such as Canadians going against Americans in the Nevada desert (as we do not have deserts).
@jeremythebeer8609 Of course. The 101st Airborne came to Latvia last year while we were there and played the "enemy force". 1 RCR also went to Estonia to play the "enemy force" against the British during that time. It's not so much friendly competitions for the sake of competitions. They are always in relation to real-world training that needs to be done. Canada had done training in some desert areas of the US during the Afghanistan days.

Is light infantry a better choice then? I'm kind of curious too because I'm still on my infantry course. I thought MECH is better since the armored vehicle might have counter measures.
5:30 Man- I was scared there! Now imagine if everyone had bayonets on, that would of been bloody. (Also concerned about everyone getting burned by blanks from the muzzle of each rifle, thankfully everyone has BFA's on)
