Lol the beginning when you said it wasnt going to be a happy ending. It was SO HAPPY, TOO HAPPY. So easy, too easy. The ending had a little bow put on it lol

I love Bryce but was also annoyed with her especially the way she treated Hunt like why does she expect him to be ok with all her plans after all that he had to endure? I really liked their relationship in the first and second book but not in this one.. Lidia really saved this book for me! I want more Ruhn and Lidia😍

I felt so disconnected from the characters in this book, but that scene with Rhun, lidia, and Pollux had me SOBBING while Lidia saved her sons

you sobbing the last 100 pages was so real 😭 exactly what i looked like LMAO. i’ve also heard rumors that the next CC may be like silver flames where we’re still in that world but maybe we follow ithan or tharion. i’m also SO curious how the next acotar is gonna be. i would love if we get elains story and then maybe an acotar wrap up with everyone’s POV? either way i will be eating up anything and everything this woman writes
idk I thought Bryce was justified with being wary of the ACOTAR characters cuz when she was asking what they would do about the horn they said theyd cut it out of her back if necessary
The ACOTAR crossover was definitely a carrot! & I know it sounds wrong but somebody was supposed to die. Like Baxian or Tharion. SOMEBODY. It doesn’t seem complete without a death. 😩😂

i will say, when bryce jumped through the portal from Az and Nesta they literally said they would cut the horn off her back so that she couldnt get home. then reading one of the bonus chapters Rhys literally said he would have killed Bryce if she came back with them the first time.
I wouldnt trust a different worlds fae to keep me alive if I had something that could kill all their people so you bet I would get out of there as soon as I could. on the other hand if I were in Rhys is position I would also not let her leave my court. She doesnot have a reason to trust them because they will always pick their people over her.
i dont feel like you can betray someone that you have no loyalty to. both groups owed nothing to the other one. i feel like if it was a group that we had no connection to we would all be like supportive of her. if it was a group we didnt know and she was spilling her secrets everyone would be like "girl you are so dumb. you dont know them. dont tell them anything" but with the inner circle we suddenly expect more from her. every fae leader that she has met has been terrible. her father and conners father were terrible to them so she had no reason to trust Rhys.
Bonus chapters for this book?? I was only aware of the SF ones (unless that’s what you’re on about)

This book was incredible. No other books send me into every emotion like SJM. I feel like her books cant even be rated like other books because there is just so much MORE in them. 10 stars

Was so excited to watch this! No other books make me quite as emotional in every sense of the word as SJM books do. I also sobbed my eyes out. I think the theories about this book as an end to the focus being on Hunt and Bryce’s story are likely true and that’s why the ending was happy. Not that they won’t appear in the future bc I’m sure they will. I also think CC4 will probably be House of Many Waters with Tharion as the focal point. Especially with ACOTAR 5 being the next SJM book we’re getting I think it’s going to be more of Nesta as the main plot based off the bread crumbs in this book and I’m not mad (Elain who?). Finally, the TOG tie in has to mean something more. Maybe I’m just reaching because I will never get enough of TOG, but we literally get Aelin falling through Prythian in ACOSF and KOA, and the shifters are originally from Erilea? Also SJM dropping hints about going back to working on something very close to her heart? TOG all day. In some form please and thank you.
Didn’t cry while reading but watching this made me cry haha😭 I loved this book actually. Lidia was my favourite character in the book and Hunt grew on me but agreed Bryce was annoying sometimes.
I loved the info dumping and personally this was my favourite in the series!

I was so annoyed that the most impactful characters were literally dead. We literally got 10 pages of Connor and Danika in a 3000 pages series. WHY ARE THEY STILL HERE???
I didn’t really cry reading the book, but I absolutely cried watching you cry reading it! Also, I 100% got pulled into reading the 2nd and 3rd books because I’d heard little comments about ACOTAR characters being mentioned

okay and also honestly Ithan's whole "I have to save everyone" personality started to bother me because he just messes up absolutely everything for everyone in the process.. like yeah its the thought that counts he cares but right he killed Sigrid, then she becomes a reaper, and its not even resolved at the end?? and Tharion + Ithan's crippling low self esteem throughout the entire book bothered me too like if you're so sad MAKE SOMETHING OF YOURSELF ALREADY. like why couldn't Ithan just acknowledge that literally everyone saw him as alpha but he was like no it has to be Sigrid like??? grow up be a man??? hello???

I had the same feelings!! Bryce definitely got on my nerves in this book and there was way too much info dumping that it felt like my brain was short-circuiting half the time but I LOVED Lidia in it! I'm very curious what the next book will be about (if there is one??)

I honestly think the parts in the ACOTAR world are all set up for the next book in that series. If she did to much it might have felt like fan service so I’m not mad about what she did especially if it’ll lead to more plot for ACOTAR books.
I’m not finished but I’m listening to it on audiobook and I think it makes me enjoy it a lot more
It didn’t feel like a 5 star to me either and I was really frustrated with characters. In my review for book 1 I said Bryce might be my favourite SJM heroine, and after book 3 she is bottom of the list! I hope she is in book 4 enough to redeem herself.

Book 4 is gonna be a spinoff, kind of like how Nesta got her own in ACOTAR. I bet it’s gonna be an Ithan/Tharion book. Ithan has the Sigrid thing, Tharion has Sathia and things HOMW. I also wouldn’t be surprised to get a hypaxia storyline

I feel you! I wanted a shocking Bryce and Azeril love story switch or Nesta and Rhys to come into Midgard and save them versus just handing over the mask.
Think the book would have been better if I read them back to back versus theorizing for a year ahead of time 😅

I think there was something about Ruhn and Rhys, Ruhn is a descendant from Helena and Rhys from Silene, so they are distant cousins🥰
Also Lidia reminds me so much of Aelin with the Firepowers, also her kid with wildfire... and called Brennan😮

It felt like such a drag getting through this book. And towards the end things just felt too easy.
Like all of a sudden the heads were replaced and everything seemed to be convenient and fall into place??
The whole thunderbird thing felt so out of place too
Honourable mentions were ofc the acotar characters but also loved Lydia (and Ithan suddenly)
But yeah I cared more about Connor and Danika than the people alive
honestly, EVERYTHING you felt I felt. The book was good but Bryce was kinda insufferable…. i definitely think this book was like a buildup or teaser for ACOTAR 6 which sucks because I think these characters deserved a bit more effort put into their plot. I rated it a 5 just for Lydia, Ruhn, and Hunt, but honestly it was a 4.25🤷🏾♀️
Good thing about my forgetful mom brain, I can watch this whole thing then read the book like I didn’t watch it. 😂

big facts Lidia had all these schemes but Sarah J. Maas didn't embark in any of them she was just making moves behind the scenes and somehow things worked out. I really liked Lidia throughout this book she was def one of the favs but I wish we got more of her scheming the way that we got Bryce's big ideas. but honestly Bryce bothered me the whole book like I didn't even care about her bright ideas because she was just so annoying. least fav female mc ever
