I loved every second of this but your reaction to the ending... literally me! I had chills everywhere because I DID NOT SEE IT COMING!! It has been years since I read the ACOTAR series and even though it is my absolute fave series of all time, it has been a minute so a few details were fuzzy. It literally didn't click until I read "My name is Rhysand". How dare SJM do a cross over without warning?!

watching this a year later waiting for CC book 3 and you and I had all the same feels over book 2 LOL - there is so much going on in this book I almost gave up. The knowledge that the ending was important was all that kept me going. Staying up till midnight so I can just dive right in. p.s. I also said Emily until I figured out it was a dude.

This was the perfect recap before I begin House of Flame & Shadow. It’s been over 6 months since I read Sky & Breath and I forgot a lot of it. But after watching this it has all come back and now can’t wait to start book 3!

when i tell you i realized she was in velaris at the same point in the book as you... i just finished reading it a few days ago. i literally had to shut the book and contemplate life. i was absolutely BAWLING. i had also heard that acotar sorta connected but i was assuming that acotar was set in the past and they would mention them as something that happened in the past. that type of connection was so unexpected and idk what i'll do til the next one comes out. read throne of glass i guess!!

someone spoiled the ending of this book for me in one of the acotar groups on fb by posting a picture of the page where Rhysand introduces himself (this was BEFORE the book even released 😭 - I think they worked at a store and they were unboxing them a few days before release) and I was so shocked and understandably upset about getting spoiled on such a major thing. after watching this I am still feeling some type of way bc omgggg I was truly robbed of getting to experience it! but even so, i cannot express enough how much i appreciate getting to live vicariously through you!! it was kind of cathartic lol. I found this vid after finally finishing the book and your reactions were what I imagine mine would have been. even when i knew the big scene was coming, i still had to take a moment to collect myself lol.

I just finished this, this week and I can't wait to see how Sarah J. Maas brings in the character's from ACOTAR series. This is going to be fun to read once that 3rd book comes out. I almost screamed when I read Rhysand name
OK so first I want to thank you for this video because crescent city is my beloved series and you probably don't know how much fun you made me with this. it was really cool to remember everything that happened in this book and relive the extreme moments with you. Secondly, I admire you very much for these notes because I was even more confused than you when I approached this book and I can't count the times I got up and had to walk around the room to keep my head from exploding. Sometimes I was just so confused that I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, so I pretended to myself and to everyone that I understood everything. Like you, I was annoyed by the lack of a close relationship in the beginning between Hunt and Bryce, so when they finally got close, I wasn't as enamored with them as I was in the first book. But when my husband Ruhn started communicating with Day, I swear I screamed as hard as I did on all Katy Perry songs when I was little. The biggest mistake I made is the fact that I didn't read the acotar series so by deduction I didn't react to the ending as emotionally as you did, but I cried anyway (probably because I knew it was something important but I didn't know what so I cried to cry because my eyes were crying and my brain had a minfuck) Thanks again for this video and I can't wait for the next ones ❤️❤️

@@rebekakunilo9135 so what i would do if you are just getting into sjm is the following order: acotar, acomaf, acowar, then cc1, back to acofas & acosf, and then cc2!!
this way in my opinion you fall in love with her writing and plot style with easier books from the acotar series, then read a big book in cc1 to get introduced to the new world and characters, back to acotar series following different storylines and characters that time, and catch up with cc2 to finish it off!
I know it sounds complicated but i promise its super enjoyable and you will love everything and everyone!! The Throne of Glass series which is my favorite actually regarding the overall development, you can read at any time whether thats alongside the order i just described or before/after you read the order i described

Like when I was little I read dork diaries and Junie b jones not Harry Potter so I’m a little behind schedule on the fantasy life lol.
