Always always always flatten the bags. Lay the bags flat in the freezer so the food isnt all clumped up. Dont move them until they are frozen solid. Stacks nicely in the freezer also. The end was the best part. 💘
Often I will use regular ziplock sandwich bags, but stack the sandwich bags inside of a gallon size Ziplock Freezer bag. A bit less expensive and they take up less room, placing several quart bags in the freezer takes up less room than one gallon size. I don't have a chest freezer, so for me, its really about keeping them all contained in a smaller amount of freezer space.
No it does not. The way I do them, they taste a bit like stewed tomatoes, since they are blanched; but freezing does not change that. The longest I have left them in the freezer is right at a year, and there was no change in flavor.
I was wondering about this as other videos show just putting tomatoes into the freezer without all of this extra work. All I see this accomplishing is saving space.
Too much effort wasting. Plus you've lost the vital juice, the skin, I mean why do people do that? The skin with naturally disolve during cooking, plus it's good fibre for your digestive system. But I gotta say your daughter absolutely stole the show 😏
Thank you for the info on the skin, I didn’t know that.. I will try it out keeping the skin. My daughter loves randomly being in my videos:) Thanks for watching!
I. Impressed with a guy a doing tutorial like this ...kudos sir 👍👍👍
Glad you liked it!

Does it change the taste of the tomatoes when you freeze them, diced or sauce? And how long would you say the “shelf life” is on frozen tomatoes?

@@thesecretgarden6948 I really appreciate the response thank you!
Does the taste of the tomatoes change from being frozen, and how long would you guess on shelf life?
Our way(yours and mine) is more compact and ready to go when you need them.
I’m going to try to add my peppers and onion to make tomatoes ready for chili
Did you remove stem?
She is a little ham, cute
Sorry if that posts twice I typed that once and it didn’t show up
You don't have to do anything to freeze tomatoes just put them in a pan, freeze them overnight then put them in a freezer bag and thats it.

Why didn’t you core the tomato’s first?
B/c then some of the juice will come out when you blanch it
Can’t hear you. Your volume is to low
I am sorry
Lovely beautiful girl
Thank you!! :)
