The Bad Mannered Wonderchild Who Became CS:GO's Most Mocked Heel

  • It’s no secret that, in any game, people love to watch winners lose.
It doesn’t matter if it’s Faker, Fabian, the entirety of Astralis, or the awe-inspiring underdog OG. Dominance eventually breeds a community hunger for downfall. Especially if the team on top is flexing it.
See, it’s one thing if whoever’s dominating your esport is also humble. The darling of the scene, who looks as if they simply stumbled into success.
But it’s something else entirely if the dynastic dominator is also, well, a bit of a d*ck.

An ad hominem is a call out almost similar to an insult where you invalidate someone's claim by accusing or insulting them to degrade, disregard, undermine or discard them to the point where their argument would sound hypocritical or invalid due to someone's character, status, etcetera.
"You're stupid therefore you're wrong" is not the same as
      "You're wrong therefore you're stupid"
The 1st claim is an ad hominem because you're invalidating someone's ability to think logically by accusing them of being stupid. You can be stupid and have a point at certain things.
2nd Statement is merely an insult. It's like Flat Earthers who are so wrong and doesn't realize that they're being stupid.
To add, even Trump or any other controversial personalities can say the right things but doesn't mean we can invalidate most of their statements just because of how stupidly bad they are.

In all fairness I can see why Fnatic didn't wanted to shake hands with NiP during Bucharest major, imagine sweating your ass off for an hour, 31 rounds straight just so the other team would get butthurt and cry to the admins for a rematch or whatever they had BO3 I think, that's just insanely annoying can't even blame Fnatic for not being nice to NiP back then.

I remember the time when we mixed with the usual people in CS:S, and i started a beef with two guys i used to, but stopped to play regularly with. I've set up a team, and they've set up a team to settle it for good. I ended up recking them on de_tuscan, hitting almost in every round wallbang awp headshots through the wooden boxes, deagle multi-kills and shit like that. After that i was the same like JW after winning against NiP in that notorious clip. It felt extremely satisfying, because those other dudes were good as fuck as well, but i was in a kind of flow state where i was extremely unpredictable, and they thought im not that good because i couldnt have that level of focus on all our matches we played together.
Summary: trash talking is sure good if youre on the winning side of things. Especially against people who arrogantly think they can look down on you, while they are not better than you at all.

NIP didn't misunderstand the rules, the admins made a mistake that actually went against what was told. They were told it was BO3 but the wrong config made it BO5. The reason why this video became so "dramatic" was exactly because of this, people instead of doing some research start assuming wrongly

Because the rules were poorly executed. Imagine playing OT thinking it's gonna be BO3 just to find out it's not, the admins and Fnatic org weren't forced to do anything, they were the ones who decided it was fair to replay it. Maybe do some research first.
