I'm getting over my second bout of covid. I don't know why people would willingly choose not to protect themselves against this. This is not fun. I am in pain. My chest feels like it was hit with a sledge hammer. I can't work, can't walk far, can't lift my arms long enough to wash my head. I get exhausted standing up too long. I'm positive that I'd be dead if I didn't get the vaccine to help with the severity. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Even idiot anti maskers. I just wish they would wear a mask. If not to protect themselves, to at least stop spreading it to the rest of us.
Ugh, the "kids were so much tougher when we threw them in to the meat grinder of WWII" reminds me of a similar thing I saw once specifically referencing Audie Murphy, the most decorated US soldier of WWII, to shit on people with PTSD. Audie Murphy had PTSD. He was one of the first people to speak publicly and raise awareness about it. He was also an alcoholic and had like three failed marriages, and again, he was open about how the shit he lived through contributed to both.

Every kid that does not have access to high-speed internet, have them go physically to school, but keep them distanced. Since most households have high-speed internet today, this would dramatically reduce the number of kids having to physically be at school which will make it a lot easier to keep them distanced and practicing safe practices. I think that most of the parents pushing for kids to go back to school are just being driven crazy by the kids being around all the time and they want them out of the house and away from them.
