- Hey Friends! Today's video is very different from what I usually post on the channel but I thought it would be fun to share some behind the scenes moments from our recent trip to New York when I was a guest on the Drew Barrymore show making a recipe from my upcoming book!
This was Lachlan and George's first trip to NYC and the first time Brian and I have been back in quite a while! I loved seeing the city through the boys' eyes and really hope you enjoy the video! Let me know what you think :)

So how did they have children ❓🙄 I'm confused, their both men? Men don't give birth! Or did they go to a woman to have children, and now these kids aren't allowed to have a Mom❓If you're gay except all that comes with it, and that means you can't have children ❗ But instead your selfish, and you use women to get what you can't have ❗ Kids know they should have a Mom and a Dad! Stop pushing children into your selfish life! What happens when these kids want a Mom❓ Society has gone made ,you couldn't have these kids with tow people of the same sex, stop pushing a fake false narrative!

I've been watching many of his recipe videos and just realized that he is gay and adopted two boys.
They are soooo well spoken & well behaved. You could tell they’re raised with love ❤️
The boys in their jackets matching their dads is the cutest thing! So adorable.

They are beyond charming as a family. Lach is a handful! George is a very sweet, gentle child. ❤
What a beautiful family trip. Love the hotel your staying at. What I love the most is that your boys are so polite saying excuse me and well behaved. As parents you are doing awesome. Thank you fir for sharing such a wonderful moment in your families life. Enjoy.
This was priceless, and I can't thank you enough for bringing us along. The boys, the dads, Drew, and the unique magic of the Big Apple brought all the feels. Anybody who's had close contact of the kid kind can relate to your sweetly hilarious tale of tummy woes, and kiddos in the bed and interrupted sleep are going to be golden moments before you know it. Thank you!
Those boys are smart. You can tell you work with them alot.

newly retired and your recipes have found their way to my kitchen, we are thankful. I so enjoyed seeing family of the man who has put excitement back onto our dinner table. thank you for sharing not only your talent but your lovely family as well.

I really enjoyed this, seeing the precious boys having such a good time! How great it is that you expose them to culture i.e. the Tea Room, etc. It means a lot to have these experiences when they become adults!

Nothing like seeing the world through the eyes of children. They are absolutely gorgeous ... A tribute to their loving dads.
Your boys are SO adorable! I love the fact that George took a bite of his sandwich at tea and put it back on the tray…I’m still laughing. It was nice to see you and your family. I am a 25 minute drive from midtown and I really want follow you and just stay in the city for the weekend.
The high point of this video (and my day so far) was seeing a bite taken out of a sandwich, then putting it back! Great video guys, your boys are delightful.

My G’daughter (age 5) at a Disney Princess tea - with the real D-princesses no less, took a bite out of a PBJ, took it out of her mouth and put it back on the silver platter! We were mortified, but the 6 other moms cracked up! Kids!!!

I loved this so much! Reminds me of when I brought my son “downtown” when he was about that age. So great seeing it all through the eyes of children and yours are just adorable! ❤️

OMG! Melt, melt! The boys are absolutely adorable! They remind me so much of my two sons (beautiful adults now) at that age. I love their enthusiasm and appreciation, and the way they repeat things their Dads say. What a beautiful family! Sending love from Spain ❤️
Wow! What an amazing family. John, you have done such a wonderful job with your cooking channel, juggling a cooking channel while having a family, and building a home. Job well done! The boys are a delight to listen to and watch. They are both well behaved and so inquisitive. I am so happy for you and Brian. May God bless you and your family always. What a great trip. I felt like I was on it with you. The boys are so adorable. When you take your children out to very nice places to eat, they get accustomed to it and it sticks with them when they are older. They will always want to try new places and great places to eat from now on. They looked so cute in their suits. You guys are great Dads. Enjoy it, as the teenage years are around the corner and it will be a new experience for you and them. Hopefully a good one too. Please teach them to cook. I started my sons at 3 and 4 years old and today one is a terrific cook, and one could, but won’t. You have a wonderful family.
The boys were so well behaved. I was wondering if we’d have a sick child with all of the stuff they were eating. It was an adventure and they didn’t want to miss anything. Congratulations on your appearance on the Drew Barrymore show. Cool. Brian is pretty tall.
John, wow wow wow!! Firstly, videos like this are so important because our community needs to see and believe in a family unit like this. I’m still not having kids though! Lifelong New Yorker here, and I’m not that fond of the city these days with all the crime, etc. But seeing the excitement in your sons faces while they enjoyed our city did my heart good. And when the little guy, got sick, which I saw coming because of all the stuff they were eating, you guys handled it like champs. Hopefully you and your family will return someday and I’m glad you all had such a good time!
