Porsche didn’t design the turret on the early production Tiger II. Both turrets were designed by Krupp. Basically no part of that Tiger II is related to Porsche at all.

The Tiger II turret was designed by Krupp. The Porsche and Henschel designs were for the hull.
Except Porsche never designed or even proposed the (P) Turret for the Tiger II

@@TheCheeseGrate No, Porsche and Henschel were both tasked to design the hull(including where the turret would be placed). On the other hand, the job to design the turret was fully handed to Krupp which then they came out with 2 models, the P one and the H one. Even though it seems like Henschel and Porsche made it because of the names of the models, they did not. Krupp made it.

The Tiger II (P) turret was actually not designed by Porche, but it was the pre-production model of the turret before the later turret was eventually designed and selected over the initial design. Porche and Henschel's design varied from Porche's design in the suspension and roadwheels' layout, maybe a couple of other things too, I can't remember. ConeOfArc has a good video on the misconception if I remember.

Nah, all Tiger I and II turrets were made by Krupp. Henschel and Porsche were just competing to get the contract for the hull design, meanwhile Krupp, having no competitors, were always guaranteed to have the contracts for making the turret. Apart from the Panther turret (which was designed by Rheinmetall), every turret on a WW2 panzer was made by Krupp.

For the tiger II, Porsche didn't design the turret, They design for the hull which rejected, and turret was designed by krupp, they use P and H is just to code it

Because it doesn't stand for "prototype". These turrets were designed for Porsche's Tiger II hulls, but, since his prototype was declined, later were installed in Henschel-made hulls.

Tiger B (p) ins't a Porshe,the porshe models code was (H) not (P) and the proposal to tiger B from Porshe was similar to the proposal to Tiger I but more armored

Yes its simply the original turret design but it was changed because of the shottrap they then used the already produced turrets on a few early Tiger 2s
