I'm glad to watch your favorable review of the RG505 I'm receiving mine tomorrow there's only been a handful of good reviews compared to several negative.
Fantastic review! Loving your style, and lighting more and more every time. Can't wait for the software fixes, that will help this go more head-to-head with the 3+. - Stubbs
When you make your comparison video , please use the current Jelos release for the RG552. I find that Dreamcast games now play better in Linux than Android with the latest OpenGL Jelos optimizations.
Honestly can't decide between this and the RP3+. On one hand that OLED screen is just beautiful especially for PSP, but I really wish Anbernic had included a video out for couch play
I chose this one. I love it but I ordered it the same day I found out about the rp3 plus. I would say got for the rp3 plus. It is smaller, just as powerful, and has better ergonomics. I love my rg505 for sure and you can't go wrong with either or now that the Google store update.
One thing reviewers never mention (but you can see in videos) is the RP3+ has a little white line on the side of your screen when you're playing a game. This is to pull out the retroid tab but it's immersion breaking and there's no way to get rid of it. I got my retroid today and will be selling it. The screen color accuracy is also not very good, whites look yellow, certain colors look washed out. You can mess with settings to fix the white balance for the most part but I have a vita and the screen is much more pleasant to look at. The RP3+ does have a great build though ergonomically and I love how light weight it is. It's a good device I just think the RG505 will suit my needs better. The lower resolution is also better for retro games.
I had mine laying around for a while not because I didn't like it but because I was trying to find a use for it when I have other handhelds but then I was like I can turn this into a dedicated portable N64/Dreamcast machine.
Rg505 is a really good device but it's really big and bulky and it's not pocketable meaning it'll not fit in your pocket another thing is the shell and screen if the screen got broken or the bezel got completely broken along with the screen you can't find a replacement for the screen or replacement shell for your Rg505 I think the best option for me is to stick with rg405m it's really small and compact made from CNC aluminium shell and I like how it's pocketable fits your pocket and you can take it with you everywhere it has same specs as Rg505 and Retroid Pocket series.
Depends on the user. Some like their handheld to be on the larger side bcs they wanna feel comfortable holding them. Some wants pure pocketability where they could put it in their pocket and take it out to play anytime they want

Thank you. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
It definitely needed to be said.
Do more retro handheld console reviews
How many gb does yours have ?
How do you save games? Pokemon games will not allow me to save in game and cant figure out how to do it?
Still not convince choosing this over Retroid Pocket 3+
