You know, this song was in a lot when I was in high school, and I never took it too seriously because I was into extreme metal at the time. I'm realizing how much my younger self would have identified with these lyrics haha. It's a profoundly sad song and hearing it preformed in a way that fits its tone better just honestly makes it make more sense. Furthermore if it were physically possible to be mad at Frank Turner (spoiler alert; it's not) I might be annoyed that he actually made me love a Blink 182 song haha. Maybe not, I'm more open minded with genre these days than I was when this came out.
