Thanks for sharing Judy. I just finished watching another Waltons series episode where the character GW enlist in the US Army and is killed during basic training. In the 60s when I enlisted into the US Army, five people died during the eight week basic training period, on the base I was stationed at. This is one more example of how realistic the Waltons series was.
@@judynorton2598 I like the screen where grandma has appendicitis, should Mary Ellen misdiagnosed and the moments between Mary Ellen and grandma agter grandma comes out of surgery.. very touching
Wow, I’m amazed at how accomplished you are Judy! And such a high-energy woman you are! It’s no wonder you always looked so physically fit and toned on the Waltons! Thank you so much for this very interesting background information about your life!
In an unstable world, it is refreshing to see a positive influence, moving through life in a consistent, steady, forward direction. You should be very proud of the impact you have had, Judy....
OMG, You have lived and are living a full life. I am in awe about how much you have accomplished in your life and oh yea, you did acting, writing and directing on the side. I hope you have really good memories about all you have accomplished.
I’m really glad you and Mary stayed close. I am one of eleven children, eight girls three boys. When I watch the Waltons now I really see the sister connection between Mary-Ellen and Erin. I was watching a Waltons episode where the girls had an apartment together and I just kept thinking wow they really are sisters! Love your channel! Cheers from🇨🇦🍁
Mrs Putnam here. I too come from a family of 11. I’m smack dab in the middle of the family. I have five older and five younger brothers and sisters. 6 girls and 5 boys. I wouldn’t have wanted to grow up any other way. I love them all so very much. As the youngest is now 48 and the oldest 74 it was a very busy 30 years or so of very busy parents!😂🤣😆
Especially from yourself. Everyone like me having studied History or someone who is interested in this fielid knows that with ongoing time The Autentic Persona becomes watered down more and more for an ideal and/or an anecdotic figure. So having yourself in your own words PERSONALY is very good.
Watching 'The Typewriter' at the moment and truly enjoyed your headstand scene. One thing I've noticed from watching 'The Waltons' is that you certainly are one of the most photogenic actresses on television. When you couple that with your acting skills, it's not surprising that you got the part of Mary Ellen....and we're all so glad that you did. ❤
You have lived a full & blessed life with your acting Judy & I have a feeling we definitely haven’t seen the last of Judy Norton . I think you have a long & bright future ahead of you 💕🌈😊 and we will be right there watching..
The Waltons cast are a best case scenario for maintaining strong ties post series and the cast members continuing to find success in their personal lives. So many sad stories of shows where cast members disliked each other and stumbled trying to find meaningful careers after their shows ended. This was so heart warming! Thankyou!
I loved your 'teenage eye-roll' which you used in the reunion films. Thank you for being so honesty & comfortable about discussing your life. It's very much appreciated & reaching out to your fans in this way is really special. Btw you rocked on Stars in the House!❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏
The typewriter episode was great acting when you are being yelled at by John Boy, you were all very convincing in that scene ! Makes me feel young seeing you so young in these first episodes, I'm born in 1959.
I look forward to watching every week. The Waltons was such an influence in my family and Walton's Mountain has always been my happy place. Thank you for sharing with us!
Yes, you are amazing Judy how you do your acting when you are really Maryellen. So realistic that you do become the character so perfectly! You are a marvelous person being an actor and a singer. I can listen to you talk or sing all day and can never get enough of you! Your beauty is unbelievable and it increases as time goes by. You have won the beauty contest by far in my book Judy. Your husband is the most gifted and luckiest man in the world!
I really enjoyed the Waltons when it first came out so much that I just bought the entire series a couple months ago. I love the episodes where the whole family is together. Thank you for the fun.
Judy, this was very interesting to see your journey so far. As a guy who has had a bit of a crush on you from time to time in the past, it was great to see some pictures of you as a child and an actress in those early years. I loved seeing all those "eye roll" clips and is a definite part of your character in those episodes. I loved seeing pictures of you and Mary together also because the two of you seem truly like sisters to me with all the real affection that goes with it. Thank you for sharing with all of us who care.

Just found this Judy and have watched everyday! Thank you so much for sharing what you like & what you do. We are about the same age and I loved the character of Mary Ellen. Question: how do you stay so beautiful?
Wow, Judy, you have had an amazing career and life. You are a wonderful woman, and I admire you from afar. Of the actresses I grew up watching, you were the biggest part of my life. From The Homecoming, your portrayal of Mary Ellen was one of my favorite characters. Your character was sassy, straight forward and tough, though you played some tender moments, too. I love your athleticism! I think everyone on this thread loves you. That’s a lot of love. ❤️

Hi Judy. So glad to hear about your history. Its so cool hearing about all the different things you have done. I so wish I could have followed my dreams. But I am still chasing my dreams even though I am getting older. I would love to do some stage shows. I use to back when I was in high school. But hopfully before I move on from this life.
I have been very fortunate. Glad to hear you are still pursuing your dreams. One of the things I did when I lived in smaller areas without much theatre of film work - was I would help organize fundraising events for local charities. Organize a Christmas benefit show and gather talent. This would also allow me to be part of performing :). Engaged others who also loved to perform. Give the audience a nice show and raise funds to help others. When doing a benefit you can often get sponsors so it makes things affordable to do.
It was a special treat to watch the Waltons and the Little House cast on Stars in the House the other evening. Two of my families favorite shows. It's always fun to learn more about the cast. Thank you for taking the time to do all this for all of us.

TV would be lucky to have you back. Wish we could have a reboot of The Waltons. I know that many of the cast are gone but it would have to be better than anything else on tv these days !!!
Judy. Thanks so much for sharing about your personal life. I know that many actors and other celebrities are rather guarded concerning their personal lives, probably for good reasons. What a fun segment!! Loved your "eye rolls"😂 it was also interesting for me to hear about your love of sewing. I am a professional seamstress so I understand that interest. Keep up the good work!!
I just started watching the reruns a few months ago of this wonderful show wish we still lived in those times it was just peaceful they just restarted the series back in the beginning
Wonderful to get to know you on a more personal level, sounds like you’ve led a very active lifestyle , lots of exciting , fun times personally and professionally . Thanks for sharing . 💕
Thanks, Judy! Very interesting. I definitely can picture you being the neighbor girl in "Wait until Dark. The Canada gig sounds fun.....a lot of work, but fun. LOL re the Mary Ellen eye rolls. And it's great to know that your cast has supported one another through the years. Thanks for generously sharing with us.
Great episode Judy. I acted myself on many plays while in school, and I loved it. I wish I pursued it. I lived just outside NYC and wish my parents were a bit more astute, and encouraged me. Every role I read for was mine, save musicals because I sing like a Brillo pad. I love the theater and have enjoyed many great production on and off Broadway. Unfortunately I know live in CFL which is somewhat a cultural desert, but that seems to be changing. I can only say to parents: if your child has an interest in the theater to encourage them and pursue that talent. Sorry to ramble so.
Nice to hear about your past theater interest. I can definitely relate. My sisters and I wanted to be professional singers. Our parents were involved in our church and insisted that we share our talent with the church. This was ok...but we wanted more. We would travel to other churches (Baptist) and perform as guest singers. We loved the actual performances but we were never truly satisfied. I guess in our next lives, lol... Thank you for sharing your story. Have a blessed night. 😊
You were always my favorite Walton
Thank you so much.

What a fun segment!! Loved your "eye rolls"😂 it was also interesting for me to hear about your love of sewing. I am a professional seamstress so I understand that interest. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks so much. I’m definitely an amateur on the sewing, so you could teach me a lot!

Thank you for sharing. It's wonderful when parents can support and encourage their children's interests. I was very fortunate.
