    It’s so nice to see someone doing something other than “he stopped loving her today”. George has so many great songs that go back all the way to the 50s. White lightning is another one where he is having fun with the vocals and is another one of his big hits.

    • @Gutslinger
      @Gutslinger Год назад +5

      I've been saying something similar nearly everywhere I go. People sadly only seem to request "He Stopped Loving Her Today," I guess because it's his most recognized song. But I think a ton of his other songs are better.
      And then if it isn't that song, they request "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" when the reactor doesn't have a clue about the legends mentioned in that song, so they don't get the impact that those of us who are familiar with them do. So they end up thinking it's just a "meh" song.

      She's been hitting Country hard. I think she would get a lot of it.

    • @Gutslinger
      @Gutslinger Год назад +3

      @@gk5891 She probably wouldn't, because she's not familiar with their nicknames or specific hits, which the song mostly references. And she probably won't do the music video, which has visual aid to help you know who's being referenced.

    years ago before he died & he was like anybody else you would meet at a bar.
    I was probably around 25.
    But I knew who he was. I remember cause I lost my job next day cause I didn't show up, LMAO.
    A song by him I would recommend would be
    Who's gonna fill there shoe's

      About 12 years ago when I was 18, I was dating a girl from Missouri, and she said she got to be in a room with him and other people, but she had no clue who he was at the time. I was flabbergasted, because he's one of my top favorite artists.
      She said her mom worked for Walmart, and helped take part in some kind of concert that Walmart would do, and that's how she saw him. The main thing that she seem to notice about him is that his hair looked thin at the top. She said she just thought that he was just some random old man. I was baffled and envious at the same time. Lol

    Great review. This one was a little different than other Vids. It had a Cajun beat to it. I listened to him on AM radio in my 53 Chevy, straight 6 with 3 on the tree, when he first release 'The Race IS ON' song and 'White Lightning' about his pappy cooking whiskey. I was just a young dude then. AM radio and 3 TV channels was all that was available. Thanks, kid. Those were great days.

    Well, if you like deep voice singing like George Jones, you should hear Daryle Singletary sing George's songs. Daryle did this one and it is equally amazing. He was on stage with Rhonda Vincient, they sang Duet's together a lot and had their own album. Check out "Grand Stand" album by them, you'll love it. "The Note"

    You're so adorable!!! There are tons of double entendres in country songs. This one is a perfect example. George Jones is a deep rabbit hole to dive into!! ❤❤❤❤❤

    White Ligntnin and Sinners and Saints are good ones to me. Everyone always does He Stopped Loving Her Today but he has so many good songs.

They are the voices and spirits that moved hearts ... and why I love Country Music. Enjoy your song searching .. try out "Golden Rings" by George Jones and Tammy Wynette 🤍🎸🤍🎸🤍
