Kartofel? That's like in German, in Croatia we say Krumpir/Kumpir :) the rest of the vegetables are simillar like Kukuruz(a) or Kupus . Btw Koliko Rusi razumiju južnoslavenske jezike kao Hrvatski/Srpski ili Slovenski? Jer stvarno ima dosta sličnih izraza i riječi
Hi Vita, you look like a school girl, do you learn other languages at school? I found this easy to follow, though there is a lot to remember. Thanks, cheers, nice one, cool, ta. Those are some slang words. for “thank you” in British English, not American.
Nobody likes the turnip (repa). Once it used to be a core of Russian cousin, omnipresent on part with wheat, nowadays you'll be lucky if you find it in Russian themed restaurants, no one cook it at homes.
@@cianakril Thanks! I will remember this if i ever go to Russia, note to myself "Never bring turnip (repa) to a persons house to eat, bring ?? instead" -
you have no idea how helpful this was, thanks
Nice to hear that :)

First sentence is OK. "How many Russians understands South Slavic languages". The second one... WTF was you saying?
We say Kumpir also in Turkey.
@@cianakril Second one is " because there is a lot of simillar words and expresions"
@@aabdeenntourntou Probably a loanword from Turkish !

But I've finished studying at school :'D
I studied German, sometimes I happen to learn new words but I'm not so good in it, though ^^
@@vitarussky5031 Nice, i learned a bit of Danish it is very difficult. Your English is good, thanks mate :)
@@Jim-lu9pw yeah, thank you! It wasn't hard for me at all to learn the basics. I hope to become more fluent in German :))
Чеснок убивает вампиров. Vampires are the living dead, so as direct objects should they take the genitive (living) or the accusative (dead)?
Turnip is the proper, original jack o lantern - it was the Americans who started using pumpkins.
