Hi Kev, really enjoyed the walk around the auction. Just loved the little Fusion 1.6 I had a 1.4 TDCI it was a fantastic little car I had it for 6 years and it cost me nothing I sold it for a profit and regretted it as soon as the new owner drove it of my drive lol. I like the look of the BMW and I think it will sell quick when you are finished with it. Let’s hope the last owners let you know the history and maybe they might have some paperwork and key to pass on to you. More videos at the auction please Kev 😀 good luck and keep smiling Kev 😃 Tom
I'll get some more auction vids up Tom, will need a few more bits for the new site, hopefully drag Claire along too 👍You know that Fusion was probably a brilliant car, I watched it pull out of the auction, sounded perfect 🙄🙄🙄I can understand why you loved yours 👍👍👍All the best Tom, Kev.
Great auction walkround and post kev. If your against a determined bidder it's difficult to not get caught up. It'll be a good one for sure, prices on used cars are crazy at the moment as well 😊
I keep saying it but love the videos and you are f*****g hilarious 😂. I look forward to your videos. Keep doing what your doing. If I say your videos are great then it would be for the rest of us and your achieving entertaining people
Well that's a really nice thing to read Ricky appreciate it 👍Its hard doing this YT thing along with trying to run a business and do the new site but comments like that make me want to keep going 👍👍👍All the best bud 👊Kev
I wanted to ask with the ULEZ situation does it affect the type of cars you buy or does it not matter. I know you don’t live in the concerned areas but was just thinking
It doesn't really effect what I buy or stock at the moment mate but it has effected a couple of sales 😩I actually lost a sale on that Nissan Patrol I did a video on as the guy pulled the purchase as soon as he realised it wasn't ULEZ compliant 😩Little petrol autos are flying out at the moment because of people in London wanting them.....I cant even buy any 🥴🥴😩😩😩
Another good honest video of a true day in the life of a car dealer, not your best day but it’s honest, well done again, hope you have many better days- keep going Kev!
I find the car auction business very interesting,it’s crazy the amount of cars going through and also how they move around the country! Wish you continued good luck!
Great video again Kev. It's reassuring that to a novice like me, that even after 10 years in you are still learning. Looks a nice car though, and I know it will look 100% better when you've finished, but I feel the fusion would have been a safer bet. Loving your content mate, working my way through the back catalogue.
Thanks Dan appreciate it 👍The notion of everyday is a school day is 100% true, but sometimes you just need to keep going to look at the bigger picture next time if you know what I mean 🤪be lucky mate👍
Great honest video! Thanks I used to go to lots of car auctions, and there were lots of people attending them. Now the videos I watch on RUclips they seem sparsely attended, are these auctions public or are they for invited traders only? Thanks for your videos really enjoying them!
Hi Alan, you're right on the attendance figures for auctions at the mo, they are still way down on figures as so many traders choose to stay at home and bid online since they closed during covid. This auction was for registered traders only, no public allowed but not invitation only so you can just rock up and register 👍The quality of cars at auction now is so low compared to pre-pandemic levels 😏😏😏its a real shame for traders like me. 😩😩
Hi mate - I have done this recently , exactly what you did. I put a bid over the amount - then needed it work… after all that. 3 months down the line, it’s still for sale. 😂😂😂😂
Happens to us all mate, even the big boys do it no matter how experienced or high value 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️hasn't happened to me for years though 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤪🤪🤪don't worry bud, it will sell when every1 gets back off holiday 👍👍
@@VisionPrestigeCars luckily with prices still buoyant you've still got a chance to come out on top. Be tight for sure but with a good prep and someone will want it.
Hi Kev. Good video and I never "tyre" of auction action - pardon the pun 😂. Your filming is actually very good as you don't use a stabilizing stick so let yourself off. Keep up the good work mate. Cheers.
Hey Kevin. Another great video! Where I live, we don’t see many 3 door 1-series, and that goes for the F21. Which is a shame. What I also find a big shame is, they don’t sell the f40 and BMW tourings. Thanks for also showing us that the pro’s are still learning too, it makes me want to do this car buying and selling, when more :D cheers and good luck :)
Nice one Kevin, we have all been there. I buy salvage bikes from copart and have bought some in the past and paid to much just because I didnt have any to work on and I was bored.
Ha!! A few people are agreeing here Ross, we aren't alone 👍👍🤪🤪What's the market like for resale on categorised bikes mate? Always thought it would be hard to sell pre-damaged bikes???
Ive been selling them for the past 10 years, its still the same, some go in 2 hours some take 2 months. Luckily its just a hobby so no rush to sell. I customise motorbike seats for a living.@@VisionPrestigeCars
Knowing your good fortune Kev, the previous owner will not only have every receipt from new, they'll also say they regret trading it in and offer to buy it back off you for 5 grand. That downpipe flexi will definitely need replacing though. This auction walk round content is very good indeed.
Well I hope your right bud, if that happens I'll be the first to let you know 🤪🤪🤪🤪And yes, that flexi is always a problem on these 🙄Glad you liked the video 👍👍
First time commenting, but I've been watching all of your videos since the start, love the content you put out Kev. Hats off to you for actually uploading this video, but I was hoping you hadn't bought the BMW when the price was going as high as it did. I understand the logic for not wanting to go home empty handed but sometimes it's okay to walk away. You don't need me to tell you that, you've been doing this long enough but wanted to leave a comment of support I guess. Keep up the great work, can't wait to see the dealership when it's finished and full of stock!
Hi Andrew, thanks for the comment and for being part of the channel 👍Im going to need to follow up this video for sure but it defo was not a good example of how to act at a car auction, I haven't let that happen for years 🤦♂️🤦♂️Thanks for the support and kind words, look forward to hearing from you on the next ones 👍Kev
I watched you buying the bmw. ! From memory the bidding slowed down at around £1300 , couldn’t believe it made £2200 … just got to have in your stock !
Hi Kev, new subscriber here, been enjoying the back catalogue, fascinating to see the process of how you buy at auction and wondered how you knew "this car has had paint" were you a sprayer by trade? I'm guessing so as you use a rotary polisher which you refer to as a mop and most amateurs including myself who dabble in a bit of detailing use da's as rotaries can be a bit dangerous in the wrong hands. Hope we see this go through prep to sale
Hi mate, my background is mainly mechanical although I have been in the bodyshop too....without sounding too arrogant I think I was blessed with the ability to know when any car has been painted but it's just experience mainly, I was like it when I was a kid 🤷♂️🥴You should have a go with a rotary mate, once you watch a scratch disappear you'll be hooked.....although I have melted through I few as you can imagine 🤦♂️
