Wow this looks great for 1989. Great sprite work and nice animation. Missed out on this one or I simply forget seeing it out in the wild back in the day.
I tend to think of Dynamite Duke as a more serious video game adaptation of GI Joe: A Real American Hero, in which you play as a more badass version of Duke from the cartoon, where he singlehandedly takes on a much more dangerous version of Cobra in an effort to not only destroy the ruthless terrorist organization, but to save his fellow Joes in the process. In my humble opinion, this game probably could have become a GI Joe game if Hasbro, Seibu Kaihatsu, and/or Sega could have come to some sort of agreement. Anyway, wonderful playthough. In my humble opinion, the Genesis/Mega Drive port could have been just as good and long as the original arcade version. The Genesis/MD port was by no means bad to me, but it should have been completely identical to the original arcade version.
Considering that there was a HELL of a lot of video game editing back in the late '80s/early '90s, the time in which the video game industry was ruled predominantly by the Japanese, it's shocking to me at least that Dynamite Duke WASN'T transformed into a GI Joe tie-in for the North American market.

This game explains where Sega’s Dynamite Deka got its name. After Sega lost the Die Hard license, the sequel was named Dynamite Deka (Dynamite Cop 2 in the USA) instead.
***** Thanks Luis! Yes, this game has several difficult parts. I needed some practice in order to beat the last boss. I think the most difficult thing in this game is developing the strategies, more than proper skill.
I wish they had more successful games. Now that they are out of business, MOSS Ltd. currently owns the rights to Raiden. I would for MOSS Ltd. to make a true sequel to this game with more levels and bosses, but retains the same gameplay as the original game as shown in this video.

i finish with 1 credit too.. .. you can also hold punch (power up) and then press kick for the dynamite kick

That was a difficult game for me to play even for the Genesis version I use to have.
