    I appreciate the radio call. I can picture myself driving with my dad listening to Joe on AM radio, every time you go under a power line the radio buzzes. I listened to this with that effect in my head. Good times!

    I was at this game! With 5 buddies from Thunder Bay, Ontario. We saw 7 hockey games and 2 baseball games on this epic road trip in April of 1998. This game definitely topped it all 😅

      My college roommate on Long Island went to high school with Mo. They were like 2 of the handful of black guys who went to Trinity Pawling. A prep school.

      He was there with Joe for 14 seasons. He had a good run, including being there in 2004.

    I was at this game. I suggested to my friend that we leave after the top of the 9th and he was pretty insistent about staying, despite the 5 run deficit. Four future HOFers in that game. Randy Johnson went 8 and struck out 15.

    So many Red Sox greats that never won a ring.
    It would take 6 more years and the great Big Papi and crew to finally break that curse.
    Mo Vaughn was certainly one who should've brought the Sox to that dance.

    I was at this game. Randy Johnson went 8 innings in complete control and Lou didn’t let him finish. The guy I went with wanted to leave but when I saw Heathcliff Slocumb coming out of the bullpen I was like, let’s wait and see what happens. The bullpen never recorded an out.

    When it comes to pure intimidation Vaughn was one of those guys you can tell terrified pitchers. I mean it was like having to face a ferocious NFL middle linebacker (Ray Lewis) at the plate.
