- I use clipdraw for every day carry and generally love it. However, the tip of the clip has been poking holes in my shirts and shredding them. I solved the problem with some pretty easy modifications... I think.
Update: March 2019... since I did this, I've not had any more holes poked into shirts. I carry every day and this solved my problem.
Did what?
I ain’t gon lie u smart for drillin that hole
Been using the clipdraw for years on my LCP. NEVER had this problem.
Sorry you had that issue with the shirts getting torn. I’ve been using the universal clip draw for close to 4 years. First it was on my sig p320 sub compact and now it is on my sig p365. I carry everywhere and never experienced a torn shirt. You did a great job of coming up with a solution to solve your issue and should be proud .👍🏻
I can definitely see this happening. I have a this knife I like to carry and the exact same thing happens I've ripped shirts and stuff with it. I think drilling the hole was a great idea.
Might also adjust the angle of that metal bit and sand off any burring... way you did it looks sharp though
Yep it tears all of my shirts. I was thinking of adding some kind of rubber cap to the tip. I love your JB Weld thought. I'm surprised more people don't mention this issue. For me It's not usually noticeable until I have worn the same shirt multiple times with the Clip draw. Eventually I end up with lots of tiny holes in my shirts like a mouse git to it. Thanks for posting this. Very helpful..
What about a piece of surgical tubing over the end?
Good thinking Think you nailed it I actually go to that area when I draw and start grabbing with my pointer finger outer first knuckle carefully not to get anywhere near the trigger guard.
Thanks for posting!
How does the double-sided sticky tape hold up that holds the clip draw does it ever come off or is it pretty secure? Thanks
I've been carrying everyday since I put this clip on and have had ZERO issues. It's still on and doing fine!
how about that liquid rubber tape
JB Weld still holding?
Yes it is! It's still going strong with no hints of wear.
@@johndavis8924 thankyou and congratulations!
Does it fit to a g43x ?
You will have to research that yourself. I don't know.
Good work. I would have sanded that metal however
Nice work
Does anyone no how to remove a Clipdraw adhesive?
Is it super hard? Im thinking of getting a clip for my cz p01 cuz im skinny and iwb holsters dont work for me ever lol prints too much. Can I ask u, are u removong it cuz u hate the clipdraw? If yes, what was your experience with it. Am I selling myself short of I buy this?
Yeah, just rock it back-and-forth. If you get it stuck on correctly, the first time, you may need a little bit of alcohol and/or dental floss is the trick like removing emblems from cars.
File
Best solution is to remove it.
Rips my cloths all the darn time eventually it punched a hole on my special edition ebony leather 50th Anniversary GT Mustang .. I've side carry or used a owh but i il try this definitely.
clean yur gun...oh srry nvm
